I’m not sure why I haven’t noticed this place before, though it probably has something to do with it being quite new. Anyway it is a small coffee shop that on Lonsdale Street, just outside Melbourne Central, and I have to say that I discovered it completely by accident. Anyway, not having been here before I decided to check it out and I have to say that I was really impressed: the staff were awesome and the coffee wasn’t bad either. In fact I had completely forgotten about it, and was wandering around Melbourne today looking for a coffee, and it was only when I came home and found this review ready to post that I remembered it. I’m going to have to come here again, again, and again. Certainly beats some of the other coffee shops around.

Just tried these guys out — they have GREAT coffee. There is also a nice selection of pastries, lamingtons and cakes. Sandwiches look fresh and interesting. Definitely making them one of my regular coffee places now.

Lt Nic has popped up in a small and narrow space on Lonsdale St that has plenty of seating, but feels like it should be takeaway/standing room only. Lt Nic serves a new coffee blend called ‘Rumble Coffee Roasters’. This caught my attention, but unfortunately didn’t hit the spot in a long black. It wasn’t bad coffee by any stretch, but perhaps better suited to milk. They’ve got an interesting looking sandwich bar which will make it a great choice for local workers who want to grab and go. I didn’t try the food, so this review is just the venue and the coffee. The service was friendly and it was very early days for this café. I think I will give it another go in a little while and check out their food offering to see if I can bump this to a 4, but at the moment it was about 3.5 stars for me.
