I love this little café. I was on the hunt for a good matcha latte and decided to give it a try… and by far one of the better matcha latte’s I’ve had in Melbourne. I love how intense the matcha flavour is and it’s not too sweet. Other places I’ve tried before just tasted really milky and bland. I have been back a few times now and it’s a place to go when i crave a matcha latte.

I’ve been to Little Rogue a few times now. It’s such a small and discrete entrance it would be very easy to walk past without noticing it(which I’m guilty of a few times). The coffee here is excellent, staff are friendly(though always very busy so don’t expect long talks with them). One downside is that it is counter service so you can’t order from your table — yeah I know, 1st world problems. There is a small cabinet of tasty pastries but no other food is served. For a nice little coffee break and a place to do some work little rogue is a great place to checkout.

Waaaaaaaah I can’t write a commentary for this café because It is very long. I tried here green tea match latte(iced and hot) it was my first time and I am in love now. I went lots of café in Melbourne but actually Little Rogue is my favorite. I like inside and I like people work here. Good good good let’s go.

Wandered in here for a quick cup of coffee on a Tuesday afternoon. The place is small but feels quite bright and spacious. Ordered a soy latte and it was perfectly made. Service was prompt and friendly. Definitely recommend a visit here especially if you’re looking for a reprieve from the crowds.

Love this place! Chilled out spot. Tasty Japanese style cakes. Good coffee too. Can sit in the back room

I ordered the Iced Coffee and it was great. Love the environment. It is a small cosy café hidden away from main street. My sis brought me here and I’m glad I found another great café to try out. My sis ordered Matcha Latte and I really like that as well. Definitely will visit again before I leave Melbourne.

Sometimes I get a cup of coffee in Melbourne and I’m like«damn that is a good cup of coffee». Today was one of those days. I got a strong flat white and the flavour was incredibly complex and fruity. They had a few varietals listed on a chalkboard, so you know this place is serious. On the downside, the Little Rogue is very small and the coffee accompaniments were sparse and unexciting. The vibe is not: sit and relax and chill for a minute, but rather drink this good ass cup of coffee and be gone. Takeaway is probably best. It’s definitely worth a short walk down a dodgy alley. Look for the blue door.

Was looking for a nice boutique coffee stop. Ordered a flat white and it was very good.

Cute little shop that you could walk past tucked away in an alley. Sadly they didn’t have almond milk like most other cafes I’ve been to, but I went for a strong flat white with soy instead. Creamier than almond milk, quite tasty.

Lovely coffee, try the small batch filter! Very unique flavours, and the bowl cup with wooden plate for serving looks very funky. Pleasant atmosphere, very much for regulars and those in the know, but I wish they had slightly more food to offer.

Venture down the cobble-stoned laneway and look for the blue door when you’re in need of a caffeine hit. The team here are welcoming and will make you a cup of coffee(with some of Melbourne’s best beans) for you to enjoy while staring out the front windows solving the problems of the world. If you need something to eat, bring your sweet tooth. There’s cookies and cakes from some trendy Melbourne bakers that will surely hit the spot.

Great little laneway café with excellent coffee and an open, peaceful, and friendly vibe. Reminds me a little of a couple of hipster cafes in Tokyo — paying attention to the aesthetic detail without hitting you over the head with it. Will be back when around the Melbourne central area for sure.

I’ve known these guys for several years. They care about what they do and doing it properly. Don’t mistake their quietness for arrogance, they know good coffee, they just won’t shove it in your face because they are so laid back. Ive seen them develop this space and try to source the best things they could, not just the coffee, but the chocolate(Mörk), cakes, tea, artwork. Coffee is always fantastic. And you can’t go wrong with Mörk chocolate either. Tiny space that feels like someones house, which I think it use to be, hidden down an alleyway. You’ll feel like it’s your secret spot. As everyone says, look for the blue door!

This place is adorable! Head down the laneway of Drewery Lane and you’ll spot a bright blue door brightening the dark stone walls. As you enter, it’s like coming into a little house. Not because it has couches, but for some reason has a small lounge room vibe. Little stools and tables line the cosy space with happy, chatty coffee lovers filling the space. This is not a place to bust out a laptop or meeting with more than 1 – 2 people, but an awesome an intimate space for a one on one catch up or solo coffee fix. Small Batch beans are on offer, with espresso, pour over or batch brew available. I sampled the batch brew($ 3.80) which was delicious. My coffee-alternate counterparts had hot chocolate and chai lattes which they were equally happy with. The guys behind the machines are friendly, they let you pay with card, and you’ll no doubt leave raving about what a cute and mood-lifting little space Little Rogue is.

What accommodating guys in here. Arrived pretty soon after they’d opened their doors here without cash(real jerk move…). They served me up a silky smooth espresso anyway, on the house. Shots already weighed out, no hoppers full of old grinds, inker cups with the logo on the saucer. It’s all pretty tight for the first few days post-opening. Tucked away in a lane at the back of Melbourne Central there’s seating for 8 – 10 people and plenty of room to mull around(even the alleyway) if you’re on the run. I’ll be back here, and not only because I owe them for a coffee.
