A crafty oasis in the middle of the city, yes please. This store is no nonsense, straight up and down over 3 levels in the Australia on Collins Building. Means city workers like me can race in and pick up a few things to help get the craft on later in the evening /weekend or whenever takes their fancy. If you are looking for a full service, endless stock craft store, this is not it. But for little projects and emergencies this is perfectly acceptable.

A good place to go if you’re looking for sewing or craft materials or equipment in the CBD — has a huge range of bits and bobs. Good selection of basic fabrics, but not a lot of the fancy or special stuff that you can find at other fabric stores around Melbourne. Friendly and helpful staff.

Lincraft is really one place you can get lost in. There are so many arts and crafts to chose from and you are not just limited to fabrics, threads and buttons. They have a great selection of home-wares and all those little accessories you would never have thought to buy until you come across them. They always have cheap no fuss halloween costumes and generally offer great decorations and around the festive season and similar holidays.
