Came here for the first night I was in Melbourne. I ordered the steak and was very happy with the way it was cooked. The serving size was a little small but left ample room for dessert. Which turned out to be FANTASTIC. Deciding to try something new I chose the Crème Brûlée and all I can say is it has got to be one of the nicest desserts I’ve ever had! I can’t say much on Crème Brûlée it was the first time I tried it but it was delicious. This was a great night and our waiter who I think was he manger or owner was a great host. He made us laugh and constantly made sure we had drinks. Definitely recommend stopping here.

On a busy street in a corner of Melbourne where it’s a lot harder to find a good meal without jumping on a tram. The staff was very friendly, the wines were very nicely selected(the sauvignon blanc went beautifully with the fish of the day). The food is simple but very good. Healthy portion size and no default chips. Just what you need after a long hard days work … In another corner of Melbourne this might not be 5 stars, but it’s appropriate here. It’s as much about the context of the surroundings. As a fellow Austrian says: «I’ll be back!»

Simple food, excellent service. Perhaps a little over priced for the simplicity but enjoyable. The cob with Dukkah was lovely to start. Our waiter was superb. Charming, funny and attentive.

Excellent comfort food, flavors are terrific. Presentation and service could be improved but are certainly adequate.

Stellar food and service. We went this restaurant following the two 5 star Unilocal reviews and they are spot on. I had chicken, bacon, mushroom, wine, and cream dish and it was great tasting and a good portion. It went well with the house Shiraz. My kids had the fish and chips, the will make kids orders, and the batter was light and the fish fresh and tasty. This is a great place and we would all return without hesitation.

I have to agree with the five star rating. Thai influence in the menu offering for sure but entire party I was with was well impressed with the place. Staff was very helpful and guided us to some items we wouldn’t normally have ordered(thinking calamari for an appetizer which was simply marvelous!) and nightly specials proved to be a hit as well. Great restaurant to try if you have not been there.

This place is so simple on the outside; some of the signage looks cheap and does not give this great restaurant the credit it really deserves. The food is elegantly simple. The staff do all they can to make the presentation slick and top notch, yet the ingredients look so simple. A three hat chef would be shot for using such simple ingredients and getting away with it. This restaurant represents exceptional value for money, especially for the abundance that you will be receiving. A three course lunch which includes a glass of house red wine only sets you back $ 20, and the ambience is so elegant and peaceful. Having dined out at the establishment three times over the last eight months; the experience has been virtually faultless except for the extra spice in my Thai Beef Salad(as part of the $ 20 three course lunch package) whereas the time before I had the Thai Beef salad it wasn’t nowhere as spicy as the last time I dined out at this restaurant where I bid my corporate career farewell, and the turnout of work colleagues joining me and paying for my lunch made my last visit to King’s Steak and Seafood Bar that much more enjoyable. A place worth dining out at for the tasty soup you receive as an entrée(it is a hassle cooking your own soup once you have tried this) and the best part of the lunch: Sticky Date pudding for dessert if your lucky. The menu items do vary, and you do have an abundance of choice for the main course which also includes pasta and a Smoked Salmon Salad. Heaven on three plates and one wine glass.
