Living in Perth for the last eight years i have to say that JB Hifi is completely underestimated here in Melbourne.
JB always has the lowest prices (in my opinion anyways) and great range of products. I’m not sure if Melbournians know that you’re supposed to haggle with JB or not, but there’s always a better price.
The Elizabeth Street store is known as the ‘Camera’s’ store, they have a large range of brands and products to suit everyones needs.
Being a freelance photographer i would trust anywhere else with my camera supplies than JB, i know what they can import and know that the lowest price (with some nudging) can be reached here.
There are a bunch of stores askew across the city, a tad annoying because if you want a few electronic items you have to search which store is which, but apart from that i think JB is a great place for purchasing your electronics, CD’s and what not.
