Came here in search of purchasing a new laptop. After browsing through Dick Smith already and not encountering one staff member to help us, it was pleasant to walk into JB and have 2 people ask us for help almost immediately. The young guy who helped us was really informative and asked us all the right questions to help us determine what laptop to buy. He didn’t try to upsell us on a more expensive model and he was really refreshingly honest about what features the laptops had and why the price difference between two models of the same brand laptop. We didn’t feel pressure to buy and he seemed to be genuinely trying to find the right one for us. He also didn’t try to push us into buying any add ons. However that said, we did walk out with a new version of Office! In a matter of 15 minutes, we had decided on a laptop to purchase and were on our way new package in hand. Would most definitely go back to this store.

Even though the store is big and the prices are alright, especially in the laptop section I came across a lot of cheap goods. There seems to be a trend with JB Hi-Fi because I experienced the same thing with their CDs when my case were completely scratched up. Service: The employees were kind and helpful, but it’s also a bit confusing because they don’t have a set uniform. This one guy came up to me and said hello and I thought he was hitting on me(or maybe I just have an overblown ego) and so I awkwardly said hi. He then went over to man the cash register. This guy was in a sweatshirt and jeans. I guess I was supposed to tell he was an employee from the nametag dangling out of his pocket? Overall, the store has okay prices, but honestly they aren’t amazing low to the point where you can give up the quality of the product as well. — Also, JB Hi-Fi has several branches, all in a row but selling different things(with some overlap). Why can’t you just combine it into one super-store, especially when they’re all next to each other?
