Been visiting Sheperds Bay Cake and Bakery for many years and they’ve consistently delivered tasty Banh Mi all this time. Their Banh Mi are usually stuffed with goodies — a meat of your choice(pork, chicken or lemongrass beef), loads of pickled carrot, lettuce, coriander, shallot, pâté, mayonnaise, soy sauce and fish sauce. Depending on the meat you order you’re paying between $ 4.50 to $ 5.50 for a lunch that will leave you feeling full and satisfied. They also sell a variety of French style crusty breads you can take home. Banh Mi is GOOD value.

We found this place riding our bikes on the weekend. It is hidden in a small shopping center in a small residential block. I guess you wouldn’t even know it existed if you drove past on the main road. Perfect timing as we were hungry but not ready for lunch. You can get so many buns and cakes here and I gave in and got a pork roll. Delicious! So much for lunch! Doesn’t matter as now we have found a new stopping place for our rides.

Usually this place serves great pork roll, even on par with, dare I say the ones in Cabramatta. What makes this one unique is their fried shallots. Today that fried shallots were missing! Maybe it was because I was the last customer and they ran out. I will give them 4 stars when I get the proper one on my next visit.

This little bakery is just perfect. I love the hot pie range and a potato pie always gets me. There arrearage rolls. Different hot pastries and then the cakes. There are delicate cakes for that special morning tea or something larger. If you are wanting bread to feed the thousands… well this is the place… when a loaf is for $ 2. However the loaf will not remain fresh the next day… I believe there are very few preservatives in their bread(all the better I say!) Freeze the bread and it is really good for toast. If you need a healthy lunch this little bakery does a fantastic bread roll filled with a variety of salads and cold meats. There is always a crowd at lunchtime and the ladies are quick at whipping up a sambo for the hungry worker. This is a little find and I always buy my bread from here.

Local bakery that has all the trimmings. Located opposite Supa IGA in the Village Plaza in Meadowbank. Has freshly baked rolls, sliced bread, sweets such as tarts, brownies, slices, cakes you name it! They also serve freshly made pork, chicken or salad rolls! Very tasty and around $ 5 or under it’s definitely a bargain! Bön a petit!
