New years day this café was the only one opened on the maylands coffee strip and have been meaning to try it. We entered and there was a line to order which wasn’t moving very fast was standing in the line for more than 15 minutes although it was a bit of a wait gave me time to decide on what to get. The staff were a bit disorganised and sometimes walking up and down trying to find who’s order is what, however they were friendly and were doing their best. My friend and I both ordered the chorizo and eggs which came out before my coffee, the meal was yummy very tasty and I added a little bit of haberno sauce which gave it a spicy kick. Coffee arrived and was good coffee. Décor is very cool and eclectic the café is a converted house into a café and very cool atmosphere and knick knacks which makes the café eclectic and different. Each«room» is different and decorated with different vintage style items. This café can be so much better if there was some organisation and a routine going on, I would try this place again as the food and décor was good. Overall 3 out of 5 stars the food, atmosphere and interior made it good

Have tried this place twice now and have been disappointed both times. I Spose I will give it the three strikes and your out test! Very slow service. The girl Behind the counter has no people skills and you are not made to feel welcome at all. Considering it’s a new place with plenty of competition. Coffee was average but again, very slow coming considering there were only a couple of other people to serve. Hope my third time is acceptable otherwise will not be back.

I stumbled on this place in its opening week. I’ve been back a few times now. Really enjoy the atmosphere and set up. Great coffee every time. I’ve been strong so far but I imagine I am going to cave the next time and get one of those amazing looking Nutella filled cronuts.

Probably the worst breakfast I’ve had. Ordered the ‘shakshuka’ which I am not sure they actually know what that is. Throwing two poached eggs into a runny tomato sauce, that felt like tomato juice, with garlic is not a shakshuka. It was served in a disposable bowl as if it was icecream. The bread felt old and stale, and the fruit was for decoration I guess, as it really doesn’t go with eggs and tomato sauce. Coffee was average, but at least service was quick. I’d suggest the owners to have a meal at their neighbours– Mrs S and get a few tips.

I had extremely high expectations for this new addition to the Maylands café strip but unfortunately was disappointed and slightly embarrassed when I took a work colleague here this morning for breakfast. The café itself has a gorgeous hipster interior with lots of gadgets and décor to keep you entertained however staff, service and the time waiting for food was a little bit ridiculous given we were the only people in the café this morning. There was no greeting upon entry which leaves you feeling a little bit lost when you enter a café for the first time. There are no menus except for the big boards hanging in the café. The menu is limited but features the usual classics. The cake counter was empty — only contained Nutella cronuts(a bit disappointing considering the competition with Sherbet and Mrs S around the corner) Coffees came out quickly and were quite good however our simple order of 2 poached eggs on toast took well over 30 minutes to come out(hence the embarrassment of taking a colleague here especially when u have limited time before rushing off to an appointment) When the meal came out there really wasn’t much too it. Eggs were ok, bread a little stale and the addition of fruit on the side(1 strawberry, 3 little pear slices and a piece of orange could’ve probably been avoided — didn’t really match) I really wanted to walk away saying«wow Nash & Co that was great» but unfortunately I can’t. Given the competition along the strip I can safely say that I won’t be coming back. The café has only been open a few weeks so I may give it another chance down the track but for the time being its a no go. They’ve got potential — I just hope they get there!
