Julien’s done the hard yards, and that’s obvious in his work. A little of the portraiture seems contrived, but sometimes that’s the point, and what professional photography doesn’t sometimes look a bit forced? But the outdoor pics taken of my friend’s children are lovely and natural and really capture the free spirits of the kids. Julien’s studio on the the nicest, most tateful buildings on Manly’s picturesque Cambridge Parade, so it’s a short hop to the water for fantastic scenic backdrops.
