We had lunch here today. Service was fine, and the food good. My friend had pork belly which looked amazing. I ordered a burger. It was yummy, but came without any salad, veg or chips. Literally a lone burger on a plate. Although it didn’t SAY that it would come with anything else, I’ve never had a burger just arrive without any accompaniment at all. I would have been more than happy to order a side of salad, if I’d been made aware of this when ordering. Would not be in a hurry to come back.

What a wonderful introduction to Greek breakfast. The menu offers a great variety of heavy, wholesome and light, and although the food may look familiar, the flavors(at least to me) were not. They say you eat with your eyes first — That definitely rings true for All Good Things. Being a casual eatery with rustic shop fittings, rows of large bench tables, I simply did not expect it. Besides, how elegant can you really make an egg and sausage dish? Well you’ll have to ask them. I loved the beet cured Salmon, the smokey taste did not overpower the rest of the dish, and is a great option for our fresh food lovers. Those who are more into the heavy stuff should try the Sausages, although a little bit on the salty side, I can see this appealing to many who would enjoy the stronger flavors. And last but not least, just around the corner in Kingsgrove — What a local gem.

Decided to take a field trip to Kingsgrove with a friend since I’m a burger lover and I saw a photo of their burger somewhere and it looked good. The head chef here received an internship at Noma, so you know they must be doing something right. The food is a mix of Australian and Greek, you’ll see influences in each dish. They have plenty of space here, so it’s a good place for group outings, catching up with friends or even a semi-casual date. The coffee is on the expensive side at $ 4.50 a cup, but my flat white was velvety smooth to be fair, so I didn’t mind the higher price. My friend and I ordered the grass fed double cheeseburger on brioche, the hand cut chips with feta, and the Kritharaki(orzo in napolitana sauce with tiger prawn) to share. The hand cut chips were awesome… definitely a must get plus a massive portion too. The Kritharaki was also very tasty, highly recommend this too. As for the burger, it was alright. It was a little bit burnt and salty so it definitely looks better than it tastes, 3.5÷5 for the burger. If this place was located close to the CBD I would probably come pretty often since I live by the CBD, but since it’s out in Kingsgrove I probably won’t make the trek unless it was a special occasion. Great place for people close to Kingsgrove, not so much for others.

A surprisingly pleasant Greek cuisine dining experience. It’s not within our area but it worth taking the time to try some place new that turned out to be positive. First off this restaurant is nice and clean inside with young and modern looking interior, including furniture and cutlery. We made reservations at 6pm which was the start of their dinner menu and were able to sit inside. They also have outside dining which is straight opposite Woolworths across the courtyard. Their food style is «made for sharing» so the ordering selection was Small, Medium, Large, Sides & Desserts. Small being entrees etc. Having never eaten at a proper Greek restaurant before we did end up doing a bit of Googling of the Greek named dishes. Although the waiter was kind enough to explain afew words. The entrée servings were small as they described, spoiler alert. Not the end of the world considering we ordered multiple choices there. We had pork and crab bun, pita bread, fetta cheese with chilli and the Greek verison of bagel looking things with tonnes of seeds. Refer to pictures. For medium and large, we ordered seafood and meat. The grilled king prawns were actually fresh and grilled decently great flavor, kudos. The waygu beef was delish and medium rare by default. I also ordered pan fried barramundi which was amazingly soft and not overly fishy ocean tasting if you know what I mean. The skin was crispy my partner ate that stuff. As we were«sharing». That this point we were too full for dessert which was saddening as they looked very interesting… next time perhaps. Pricing was decent for the quality was consistent and top notch. I didn’t even feel sick this time. Staff were polite and attentive. And the place was fairly busy but not too noisy we had space to move, breathe and hear each other and not have to be overwhelmed by neighbouring diners’ conversations. Apparently breakfast is even better time to go. Afterwards we took advantage of the close convenience of Woolies which is also where we parked, bonus.

Although I appreciate that Kingsgrove needs a quality café, and All Good Things has def been getting great reviews in some big papers, the truth is that it’s incredibly over-priced for a suburban café, management is particularly inflexible(won’t serve breakfast after 11 and lunch before 12 — but don’t advise you till after your seated), they don’t have kids menu, don’t do kids milkshakes and refuse to modify the menu even slightly.
