We ate at Jessie’s Kitchen following a recommendation from a friend. We ordered the Meat Samosas, Nasi Lemak with Chicken, Paratha with lamb, big mixed plate(with fish curry) and mango lassi. The food took a little while to come out, but were was worth the wait. All the dishes were delicious. The waiter was friendly and gave us some good recommendations. Jessie herself came out to say hello and ask how the food was. The dishes were a good size and good value. Well worth a visit and I would definitely return the next time I’m in Perth.

I discovered this place online, and we decided to try it. Absolutely amazing place, not only are the owners very friendly and kind. The food is amazing, we tried the samosas(yum), aloo paratha, a plain paratha and string hoppers with chicken curry. All were amazing and great value, I will be back for more. They have dosas which I want to try :)

After reading all the positive reviews on Unilocal I decided to give this place a try & I’m very happy I did. I have only eaten the vegetarian set meal, but I have been totally happy with it every time. The«small» is HUGE for its $ 8 price tag. Glad it’s just up the road :)

Thank you Unilocal.I found this little gem in Inglewood on my mobile thanks to a quick search of Unilocal for food in the area. Jessie’s isn’t a fancy place, the décor is basic and it is obviously run by family. But it still is full of charm. The staff are lovely, happy to help you choose a dish or have a chat. The food is delicious and very generously portioned. The price is more than reasonable for what you get. You can tell this stuff has been made lovingly from hand, it is full of freshness and flavour. I will be definitely coming back to Jessie’s.

When I grew up food was meat and 3 veg, a barbecue or the occasional pasta meal. If we went out to dinner it would have been chinese food. Perth didn’t have many options for some called ethic food. It wasn’t til I travelled overseas did I taste a wide range of culinary delights that didn’t have its origins in the UK. Since then curries have become some of my favourite foods. This quaint family run café does curries really well. The ingredients are fresh, the flavours are authentic. The staff are all lovely. The prices reasonables, bordering on the cheap side. This is a great alternative to Maccas or HJs if you can’ t be bothered cooking.

Two things I know about Jessie’s Curry Kitchen & Café are that the food is good, and its very substantial. My sister took her staff here recently and even after ordering for a table of 12, there was plenty left over from kitchen which ended coming home to yours truly in a doggy bag(little piglet that I am). Let me tell you, when you reheat food from the night before and it tastes this good, it’s got to have been even more glorious when first dished out. The Butter Chicken is delectable, the Prawn Curry very generous in its seafood content, and the Dhall with Yoghurt divine.

We love this restaurant… well its a café really. The food is brilliant and the owners are lovely. We order the Rojak and Mia Goreng every time and it really hits the spot for the quick lunch. Its a place where you sit eat and leave, yet every time we go there we speak to the locals dining there, I think for some unknown reason this place attracts a really good sort of person. The flavours are authentic, I stepped straight of the plane from a quick stint in Malaysia once and this place didn’t disappoint, it was as good as what I was eating 8 hours earlier. So for a quick spot of lunch its a winner and I reckon it would be a great place to stop after a few beers too. I could also definitely devour a Dosa for a late breakfast on the weekends. It wont break the bank which is a very welcomed change to the usual over priced cafes you see in Perth. So next time you feel like picking up a burger for a quick lunch DON’T– come here and spend less but have a fabulous meal instead of a soulless burger.

This modest, family-run, dine-in or take-away eatery specialises in Indian and Malaysian dishes. It’s located at the quiet end of Beaufort St and you’d likely miss it if you didn’t know what to look out for(Look for a yellow and pink oval sign in a totally non-Indian font). On the menu you’ll find a substantial list of Indian bread based meals like Paratha, Aloo Paratha, Chapatti, Dosas and Rotis. Paired with a choice of filling, a curry and dahl; these breads suffice as a main meal. Overall the food is appetizing and made with love, though the curries aren’t as hot as I like. If you are someone who shies away from spicy food, or are trying for the first time; Jessie’s Curry kitchen would be a nice induction. The food is not my favourite for Indian and Malaysian but it’s excellent value for money. I got a liberal serve of fish curry plus two veg, dahl, rice and a pappadum for just $ 11…dine in too! If you are thinking of dining in, note that it’s BYO, very casual and it’s also somewhere you’d feel comfortable dining in solo. Maybe not dining solo with BYO though, that could be awkward.

Jessie’s is so well loved in our family as being nearby, great food and really cheap! The food is magnificent Indian food specializing in curry with a very homely feel. Don’t expect Michelin star quality, it’s just a cheap quaint little place :)

Can’t be beaten for value for money. My favorite cheap eat. Run by a lovely husband and wife team who provide consistent food and speedy service night in, night out.
