Don’t be fooled by the playful name of this place — their curries mean business. I’ve been a regular customer at Curry Sutra for quite a number of years now, and their food has never ceased to impress me. You’ll find this little shopfront on the small unassuming Forest Food Court on level two of the Westfield shopping centre(thankfully not the busy little gangland food court populated by after school teens). The curries are reasonably priced as well, although on the odd occasion you will get a curry sauce to meat ratio which is a little ungenerous. I can never go past the unhealthiest option on the menu, the traditional Butter Chicken, and I recommend you don’t either. The sauce is a rich ochre-red which disguises how mild this curry actually is, which means it’s also perfect takeaway for the kids(or if you’re like me and can’t really handle your chilli). For something a little spicier, the Lamb Korma is another dish that frequents our dining table. But if you think you’re escaping the calories with this dish, you probably won’t do much better since I think the base for this curry is cream instead of butter. If you’re after something a little sweeter or after an experiment with your taste buds, have a go at their mango chicken. It’s not as sweet as some other places make it, but it has an interesting, refreshingly different flavour that you’d never expect.
