Happy to find another solid specialty coffee shop has popped up in the CBD area. Stopped by for a filter coffee(unfortunately they we’re out), instead i tried a double espresso(Code Black: 3056 Blend) and was heartily impressed. Really delicious plum and red fruit acidity and an overall balanced up. I’d even dare to say it was pulled better than any shot i’d been served at the Code Black Roastery in Brunswick! Keep it up Vilicia!

A bright airy café, very keen staff and barista crew. Located on a corner. A great vibe. Limited prepared heat and serve meals Asked for a filter coffee coffee scored a 8 out 10, excellent body and flavours

Lovely little café right next door to yellow Bernard. This is more of a place to hang and get food. Lovely interior, nice and bright and contemporary. The obligatory communal table and lots of bar seats. Just popped in to grab some take out so can’t really comment on the menu or coffee(got mine from yellow Bernard) but the sandwiches were yummy, fresh and delicious and of course they toast them for you. I would definitely go back and try out their other food offerings and coffee to see how it compares to next door.

Blow me down if Vilicia doesn’t house the sweetest and chirpiest staff in Hobart town. They also have ridiculously good coffee blends, a sweet as heck designer fitout, and some of the best sweet and savoury treats in town – even moreso now that on Fridays and Saturdays you can grab a Lady Hester sourdough doughnut, one of Hobart’s newest treasures. Make sure you grab a loyalty card to stamp those coffees off! And take advantage of their being open Saturdays – it’s such a joy to have a decent CBD coffee place open on a Saturday and we want to make sure they keep it that way!

This café is a little gem — found it while my gear was being charged at the nearby Telstra shop… Lovely coffee — the beans are from Code Black in Melbourne. I had the house blend, and it was smooth with a flavour strong enough to cut through milk. The atmosphere is bright and sunny, a really nice place to spend done time. I had an almond brezel too — it was good, but the coffee was better. Overall a good place to grab a coffee in Hobart.
