I wanted to give this place five stars, but I figure people would get confused. The Brisbane is a total dive bar, in the most excellent way. You do not come here if you have delicate sensibilities(or need doors on your toilet stall). This place is sticky, but it’s also friendly, knows music and has some dedicated staff members who will take time out of serving to rescue you from the one cubicle that does have a door, but locks you in from time to time. I wouldn’t eat here, but if you enjoy live music, fantastic patrons and your nights out with a little edge, pop in. You’ll almost always have a great time. Fans of metal, punk, hardcore, rock, ironic karaōke and a mixed bag of fringe music from all over Australia & beyond should not miss. Frenzal Rhomb played here. That should be enough for most.
