We found this place through Unilocal, after hotel staff were recommending touristy Salamanca places. Pilgrim is opposite the hospital and is a little difficult to find but worth searching for. Coffee is good and the food is great. We had a brioche bun with house made sausage, fried egg and house made mayonnaise. My partner claims it was the best breakfast burger ever. Meanwhile I had the asparagus, poached eggs and a tonne of pepita seeds. It’s worth getting, fantastic flavours. Well informed and lovely service by the bearded beauty.

We were going to MOFO and left a comfortable 30 min to order a takeaway coffee before the ferry. I guess we were too optimistic. Our ticket just got pushed back coz a late comer wants a skim or a soy… No coffee n we had to get a refund. Zero star! Never again!

What a great place! Stopped in at recommendation of hotel staff. Coffee was excellent, even my particularly specific coffee order was no problem and executed to perfection! The little brioche bun was delicious too!

Great location and very good coffee. Modern vibe, warehouse look, hip vibe. Big enough to accommodate your group. A regular take-away destination for me when in CBD.

Really cool place, loved the vibe and their take away cups are cool… Kinda like a Pantone design… best of all it was the best coffee I have had in Hobart.

I have to say I was not impressed. In all fairness all I had was a long black, but it was bitter and far from something special and that in a country that normally does amazing coffee. Actually I have had a hard time finding bad coffee anywhere in Oz. But this would not be a place to return to for the coffee. It also borders me they do not have Internet. for the traveler or even local who want to do a bit of work on the laptop this is really crusual and should be a standard. Come on get in the game. I get that the atmosphere is interning though I found it a strange mixture between hipster raw with a hint of a chain coffee shop. In a city with so many good coffee placed this will not be a place I return to.

By far the best long black in Hobart. Great ambiance. Hipsters will adore.

Even after seeing the Mawson’s Huts replica I still feel like an explorer for braving a coffee while holidaying. Pilgrim Coffee rewarded me with a decent long black. The beans were roasted by 65 Degrees from Melbourne and the double shot was extracted well.

Pilgrim is one of my favourite cafés in Hobart. Rocking the half done renovation look, it is bringing hipster to Hobart. The only let down is that it serves from the cabinet. Imagine a full kitchen in this place!

Great coffee in a fun and different space(old exposed brick and sandstone walls, ceiling beams etc). Tasty fresh food(although only a small selection). Don’t expect a full meal here, but good for snacks. This is my go-to place for coffee in the CBD. There are a couple of places that serve better coffee(although not much), but not with the added bonus of plenty of seating and decent food.

Great spot for hipster coffee. The food wasn’t amazing by lunchtime(my Vietnamese rolls were watery and flimsy) but the coffee’s done very well and the industrial-chic décor is charming. While I was sitting down enjoying my flat white, a posey of nannas sat down at the table next to me and I was well entertained by their discussion, including mentions of the décor(«is it not finished yet?» «I think this is it, it’s quite trendy these days» «Well I suppose but it doesn’t look done») and the service(«I’ll go up first» «we have to order at the counter?» «And pay, too» «Before I’ve eaten!?»). The service was lovely, even to the point of an earnest«thank you very much!» when my empty plate and cup were collected. No, silly Pilgrim — thank YOU very much.

Best Coffee i’ve had in Hobart so far, a nice modern atmosphere, great staff, i believe one of the staff is a competing barista. But a must for coffee fans in Hobart.
