Good Food, Good Service, Great for lunch Had a group of 5 for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and was a bit upset that they only serve Boags beer!!! We are in Hobart people. The Lamb Cutlets were by far the most popular dish on our table and were demolished the fastest too. Next visit I will be trying them. However the Gnocchi special for the day was to die for and the right size for lunch. All of my dining companions enjoyed their meal and it was a pleasant afternoon. Downside 1 toilet in the whole place?

Great food and didn’t have to wait very long either… Staff were all lovely and welcoming and had a sense of humour to match my partners… The restaurant was warm and inviting and the paper table cloths allowed us to write our own compliments for the staff on the night. Our first visit we had the gnocchi and lamb ragout, and spinach and ricotta ravioli both were beautifully cooked and absolutely delicious. Our second visit we had carbonara and one of the specials with tiramisu for dessert… Just fabulous When we return to tassie we will definitely dine here again :)

This is my favourite place to eat in Salamanca because of the atmosphere and the wonderful food. Staff are friendly but sometimes it does take a while to get drinks. I’ve never had a bad experience here though as usually I am not in a rush and content to chat with friends while we wait. My creative friends and I enjoy the option to draw all over the paper tablecloth. Fun!

Ciuccio is located in salamanca square which is a great atmosphere in itself. The restaurant has decent food not the best Italian I have eaten but the setting is great and they have a wonderful wine selection. They also serve a platter full of meats, cheeses, grilled veggies and bread which is not only a bargain for 20 $ but it truly is a delicious find. We sometimes will come to Ciuccio just to buy and share a few platters before heading across the square for a few drinks.

Hospitality can be a fickle industry, but these guys get it completely. From the moment you enter you’re welcomed into the restaurant and the staff know how to treat customers right. To the food, my dining companions and I ordered pizzas and pastas which all came in a reasonable time and in generous servings. Plus they tasted amazing. Potentially one of the better, if not the best, Italian in Hobart.
