Visitied Nordburger in this its new ADL location where burgers are taking two steps back. I really hesitated given my previous experience(see other review). Staff are friendly, joint has the same polished concrete and wood feel. But… burgers are meh, sprinkled with our-sauce-is-so-good-we-will-emulate-McDonalds-and-call-it-NORD-sauce. Yes, its a mystery sauce, I wasn’t sure if it was present or not in the burger. Fries were not as salty as previous experience. A single line of customers took forever to reach the counter and then some more to get the food. Sometimes, just sometimes, instead of progress s there is devolution. You would think a simple dish like a burger would advance through competition and refinement. Will I come back? Nope! No hesitation next time!

The burgers here are greasy, cholesterol-filled, incredibly sloppy, and soaked in a special Nordburger fry sauce, which I think is all their sauces mixed. I LOVETHEM!!! However, my partner hates Nordburger(he must be destroyed). These burgers are not for everyone. I am gluten-intolerant, so they wrap my burgers in lettuce. I have never had the buns, so I cannot compare. But, the meat and cheese are so greasy and flavour-packed, I don’t mind. Actually, I prefer the lettuce-wrapped burgers here, rather than the gluten-free buns you can get at other burger places. Often they are stale and have zero structural integrity. Replacing bread with lettuce DOESNOT in any way make this a healthy meal, but my main point is that it is still incredibly delicious. The fries are only okay. I often see half eaten baskets of fries left over on tables. Also, service can be a bit slow during the evenings, especially when there is only one till opened. Service is below average, staff are competent but that’s about it. Try the fry sauce, it is delicious.

I cannot describe how much I love Nordburger! The burgers are cooked to perfection, simple flavours made great. The theming of the restaurant is very modern and relaxing. I loved the added breakfast menu but am disappointed they have now removed the waffles from the menu. In closing if you are a burger fan you need to go. I would rate it as the best burger joint in Adelaide.

Pretty damn good! Has that juicy authentic american burger taste. My fav has to be the hotburger. I’m a fan of anything with a spicy kick and this burger has the right amount of spice. Love the chilli cheese fries too! This place gets packed quickly at dinner time with a long queue but you don’t have to wait long and the burgers are cooked quickly. One of my favourite and regular burger joints…

We live down the road from here and hadn’t tried it until tonight when we didn’t know what to have for dinner. I had the spicy chicken burger — I actually thought it was really awesome. It packed a punch tho so if you don’t like things that are actually spicy I wouldn’t recommend it… If you like spicy then you should get this… Amazing! My bf had the big beef burger(think it was called a big kahuna or something?) anyway he said his burger was epic! We had it with a serve of the chilli cheese fries(the bf loved these where I wasn’t a fan… They tasted like lasagne sauce on chips lol) and a side of tater tots which were extremely oily. Overall would go again for the burgers alone not so much the sides we had probably wouldn’t get those again… Plus they serve doctor pepper, and beers and cider too. Not bad not bad!

Nordburger does breakfast!?! Say whaaa??? So I just wanna say that the words of this review is based purely on the breakky experience, but the stars apply across the board. In short, the breakky offerings at Nordburger are like Maccas… But made with delicious and quality ingredients. The English muffins are stunning… Clearly made fresh and local, they are the right combination of soft, chewy and springy. They are then stuffed with your selection… sausage, bacon, eggs… fried fritz! With this there are lashings of mayo, cheese and sauce. My bacon and egg muffin was dripping with the stuff… And I loved it! The other breakky option is waffles, served with berry sauce or maple syrup… Or on weekends only FRIEDCHICKENANDMAPLE! Yum! The chicken is generously served and oh so succulent. The only criticism is that there is no where near enough maple syrup on those babies. Breakfast also comes with standard sides available to order… You can get a serve of hash browns for $ 1.50. The thing that I think will prevent this from becoming a staple breakfast haunt for some folks is the fact that they only serve American drip coffee. Sure it may be a novelty, and at 95cents it’s certainly cheap. But I need a good ol espresso or latte to kick start my day. Maybe I’ll just settle for the sugar hit and go all out with a thick and rich Nordburger shake. Mmm…

Nordburger. As good as the name suggests, sometimes all you need is a darn good American style burger and chips in a funky kinda vintage but kinda modern convenient burger bar. It’s a greasy, yummy messy burger that is cheap and cheerful. My husband doesn’t like the dripping fat but I say, what’s a burger with out a few drips?! ;) the fries were pretty good but nothing to ‘yelp’ about ;) see photos for a fuzzy menu :)

I’ve got a beard. I sometimes wear plaid shirts. I work in a creative industry. I should adore Nordburger. I adore my tastebuds more… I have never been to the USA but I imagine the food to taste much like that I sampled at Nordburger. Salty and sugary. That’s all I can say to describe my experience. The burger — the meat, the sauce… freakin’ salty. The potato gems and sauce… even saltier. The Mellow Yellow soft drink(sorry, ‘soda’) — anything but mellow. Essentially a can of sugar and water. Yes, it’s a cool space. Yes, the staff are quirky. But the food. No thanks. Fancy Burger or even Grill’d win this one.

Yum! Only stopped for breakfast but who can beat freshly made waffles with berry jam and a tasty egg and bacon muffin. Americano coffee ok. All for around 11 dollars. Friendly and cheerful service! Will definately be back for more!

Not the best burger in Adelaide but certainly not the worst. It’s a mid range burger but adequately priced. Would do again.

First time trying NordBurger today, and can I say that I was extremely impressed. The menu is not really wide in variety, but I don’t mind that… As long as they can be really good at what they do. I must say they are. I tried the Big Kauna and it was just awesome. Little bit of mayo and sauces really made it a tantalising burger. You must add the chips, because the burgers are about the size of a Big Mac and the chips, and there again the chips are also awesome. If there was one thing to pick, the dinning room could have been a little cleaner. A quick sweep and run round to pickup stray crumbs and I would find it hard to not give 5 stars. I’ll be back real soon!

Great burgers. We get really jacked off by burgers that are so high you can’t get your mouths around them or places that try to do too much with them. These were easy to eat and patty was very juicy. Menu is not super large but still has plenty of options. And anywhere that I can get potato gems(tater tots) is a winner. They were very accommodating to menu changes I had to make due to being pregnant(certain sauces with uncooked eggs were off limits, when I had to send my cheeseburger back initially as the patty was still pink inside they were very apologetic and got my new burger out super fast). We got there not long after 6pm on a Friday night and by the time we had ordered the line was out the door!

It’s unashamedly exciting to have a burger place that can seat large groups and serve amazing honest food. Don’t get me wrong — *puts both hands in the air* -, there are plenty of amazing burger places in Adelaide, the original Nordburger included, but this newest addition to the Nordbuger family is huge! And it is fantastic. Going to Nordbuger is certainly more of an experience than a «Grab and Go» joint. You can tell there is love and a lot of thought that has gone into the layout, menu, beverage list and even the staff hired to work the counter and kitchen areas. As well as a small variety of burgers on the menu is there is also a variety in the choices of fries. I always get the tater tots but be warned! These sides are certainly large enough to share! Oh and definitely get the fry sauce on the side. It’s kind of like Mac sauce but way better If you’re going for the full experience make sure you try a delicious milkshake to complement your all american style meal! Can’t do dairy? There are plenty of soft drinks(and i think beers) to wet your whistle. Post-Nordburger, make sure you dont have a heavy work load or busy afternoon. You will definitely need some time to enjoy your self inflicted food coma. And it will be marvelous!

Thank the lord and heavens above, the eateries around Hindmarsh(aka the ‘burb of my workplace) are going from strength to strength! With the recent addition of Nordburger(the original store is located in Norwood, this is a second incarnation) my lunch time choices are beginning to look abundant! I’d had Nordburger before and thoroughly enjoyed it — this time was no different! The new building is spacious, with plenty of seating areas(unlike the crowded Norwood store) but it still gets super busy at peak times. The ordering process is a bit long and convoluted — there are definitely some issues to iron out there, however once your order is placed, the food is ready super quickly — in less than 5 minuets! The burgers are messy but delicious — although I’m still not sold on the fact that lettuce and tomato are considered extras — however due to the deliciousness of the sauce and patty, I’ll let that slide. I also ordered some chilli beef cheese fries to share with a friend and although they were nice, they were incredibly messy to eat with the cocktail fork provided — it was like trying to eat a bowl of rice with only a tooth pick! Next time I’ll just take my own fork… I’m keen to get around some of the interesting milk shake flavours, some soft serve and some of the delectable looking butter milk fried chicken… but those are temptations for next time!!!
