Great rolls, and nice staff I regularly go here for lunch and am never disappointed. They have a good selection of cold rolls, spring rolls and Vietnamese rolls as well as a bunch of other tasty stuff.

Amazing! These are the best vegetarian bahn mi I’ve had in Adelaide, these use some kind of marinated fake meat instead of straight tofu, tastes as close to what I had in Vietnam as I’ve found in Adelaide They also have vegetarian«beef» soup and some other veggie options I haven’t tried yet.

Welcome to the new rolls in town… So its hard to give an honest review about your local work food shop, but with the limited choices in Hindmarsh, I will try. I’ve probably been here 10 times in the last 2 weeks. so I think my coming back should give you a fair idea on what I think of the place. Mai’s Lunch Bar is not your usual Vietnamese Roll establishment, they are attempting to make it like a. well… Lunch Bar. Which is a little unusual compared to other Vietnamese rolls shops, but for this area it works well. The owners really are on a winner. by setting up a shop that sells cheap Vietnamese rolls in Hindmarsh they really are going to dominate the market. The Rolls are not the best, or cheapest I have ever had, but they are pretty damn good! I think they have improved a little from there opening days, by adding more of the sauce to the rolls. but for $ 5.00 you really can’t go wrong for a work lunch. Overall I’m pretty happy with my experience at Mai’s and I will undoubtedly be back a few more times in the future. :)

Gone are the days when I had to jump in my car just to go get Vietnamese rolls in my lunch break… now I just roll down the street to Mai’s! There always seems to be a line-up out the door — probably as there are limited food options in Hindmarsh, but also because the food here is pretty tasty! I can personally vouch for the roast pork meat roll and the chicken cold rolls — both priced at a very reasonable $ 5. The $ 1.50 spring rolls are a good choice if you feel like something less healthy and there are a range of rice dishes and meal options on the menu. The seating is basic — lunch tables and benches like you might see in a school cafeteria but it’s all you’ll need to enjoy your light lunch here! A great addition to the area!
