Grill’d Is a good concept and the Hillarys venue is fantastic. Can’t go wrong with their menu and the salads are quite special which is rare for a chain-brand food outlet. Thumbs up.

Consistently great burgers from this popular chain. Staff are always friendly and efficient. Good place for a quick bite to eat that won’t break the bank!

Nice place. Good size n better spacing between tables unlike joondalup. Customer service great. Love the donations thing they do. But wish they would expand their drinks range. Heads up don’t get low carb bread. Its like a pancake n falls apart under the burgers weight. Which ends in a mess in ur plate.

My first place to try grilld and I absolutely loved it — with such a cute and rustic/retro inspired décor! Was so perfect to grab a burger at hill arise boardwalk with a full view of the man made pool in their outdoor dining area. I love that they are also licensed — a Matsos ginger beer goes so good with any of their beef burgers! Thank god we chose to dine at grilld hillarys for the first time because I am in love with grilld ever since then!

Scotch Fillet Salad for lunch on a weekday — service was quick, meal was fresh, warm and tasty. The venue offers grass fed beef which is great for the paleo among us.

It’s true: this Grill’d doesn’t live up to the reputation of its Mt Lawley and Subiaco forefathers. While the menu is impressive, with a great range varieties, the delivery is middle-of-the-road. I ordered the Garden Goodness and it was just a bit sloppy. Really hard to manage. I’m prepared to give it another shot because the setting is beaut, and I know Grill’d do the best and healthiest burgers around. Plus, the chips are tops ace.

I really enjoy a good burger and I was having major cravings so I escorted my little sister to a dinner date at Grill’d, I was paying so I picked somewhere that I assumed was going to be a reasonable price. The options of fantastic, even the vegetarian options they have about 4 I believe, now I looked at the price and kind of assumed that it was a meal deal price, you know burger, chips and drink. But no, it was just the burger price! I was kind of shocked but then thought, it better be good. So I bought us chips to share and a couple of drinks I think it ended up about 35 dollars, which seemed quite pricey. When the burger and chips came out I could barely contain my excitement, the chips where delicious along with the spicy sauce I was in a happy place, and then time for the burger. A real let down, the patty was dry and way to much sauce. For the money I paid, even though not through the roof, I kind of expected something much better than that. Bit of a let down, could of just been that burger in particular, but think I will stick to the likes of Jus Burgers instead!

After a last minute decision, three of my friends and I headed to Hillary’s marina on a friday night to grab some dinner. It seemed to be a joke that not one restaurant in the Marina would take us at 9pm at night, whilst many were full, many others were closing. Surprise surprise, Perth — the town that seems to ALWAYS be hibernating, offered nothing but a few takeaway places(if that), but lucky for us we came across Grill’d which happily took us in. The décor was very retro inspired and I loved the way they are trying to bring something hip and new to Hillary’s. The menu was simple yet delicious and we finally decided on the steak sandwich’s, chicken salad and ceasar salad. The meal’s were fairly good value for what you paid, especially the steak sandwich’s, however I found that they were a little bland. The chips on the other hand, were amazing, seasoned with a tasty herb I had never tried before. Grill’d is a nice touch to Hillary’s marina, but I certainly wouldn’t rave about their food, expect for that is supposedly healthier than most.

When it comes to so-called gourmet burgers, the original is still very close to the best. Of course, Grill’d is somewhat less gourmet than others that claim to be, and indeed prefers to focus on its health credentials as opposed to its culinary excellence. Given it is a bona fide burger chain, with stores across the country – Sydney’s MOO Gourmet Burgers, in contrast, has only four stores in the whole of that city – it might be hard to convince people of latter anyway. As with any chain store, Grill’d’s great strength is its consistency. You can get the Kung Fu Fighter – a beef burger with carrot, coriander, satay sauce and herbed mayo – or the Moroccan lamb burger – with roasted peppers, tzatziki and relish – as easily here on the Sorrento Quay Boardwalk as you can on Melbourne’s Degraves Street or in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, and you can have much the same experience as you would at either of them. That experience, needless to say, includes a certain feeling of satisfaction. These really are very good burgers. This Grill’d tends to get very busy and is the first in a string of four other fast food places that always seem to be doing a roaring trade. There is an inordinate number of children about and they have a tendency to be very loud. While it’s a great place to get a bite to eat while at Hillarys Boat Harbour, I would warn against it if what you’re looking for is a quiet Kung Fu Fighter, Zen Hen or Hot Mama.
