These classes are well organised and great fun! The food is delicious and the chef knows what they’re talking about. Great for everyone, try out some new dishes, meet new people & just generally have a great night. Highly recommended.

We went out to taste buds cooling school to socialize with a client in a team building activity. There were five teams and each team was given a mystery box of ingredients. We were given a safety demonstration first — especially about carrying hot utensils and knives safely. We were then told how the points would work — points for cleanliness, spice test, edibility and presentation. We had around 2 – 2.5 hours too cook. My team found eggplants, zucchini, clams, a massive barramundi, cherry tomato and sweet potato in our basket. Having never cooked with clams or barramundi. My team was stumped. We also had to cater for 27 people and plate for the 2 judges(facilitators from taste buds). Both judges were really helpful and told us to go with European style cooking. My team made mashed sweet potato, babaganoush, clams in tomato sauce and barramundi skewers. It’s surprising how much we accomplished in such little time. It was a truly memorable experience. Though we didn’t win — we came in third and had an amazing time. There was a dessert team, an Italian team, a thai team and a team with lots of chicken in their basket. Definitely would do it again.

I wrote up a pictorial of the the Little Budds class(4 – 8 year olds) on my blog. It’s against the rules to post a link directly to it in my review, but the link to the blog is in my profile. Our experience with Little Budds(and lots of photos) are under the post«Cooking With Kids» written on the 5th of August 2013. In general, it was a great experience. A bit pricey, but we’ll do it again. I think this class was a bit crowded: My daughter ran out of things to do sometimes. But the food was good, they had fun, and we made good memories. She felt independent and wants to go back.

I thoroughly enjoyed this cooking class. I have been to a few and this was bigger and more difficult to interact than the others but the food was A-Ok :) I would definitely go back and join in with some friends. Beats a night on the town that is for sure.
