Empire, I’m so sorry I misjudged you.
I thought you were for a slightly older crowd and wouldn’t appeal to my random tastes but I was wrong.
Books were reasonably priced and I found the book on shacks I had searched high and low for.
Park right out the front of the building (for free) for maximum convenience, and they beautifully gift wrap for even more convenience! Yay for convenience!

Sometimes when I feel a little sad I come to Empire and look at their beautiful fish tank and then I wander upstairs and try out the chairs. Just sitting amongst loving designed things makes me feel like the world is a special place and that there are people in the world who care.

Now that I’ve experienced Empire, there is nothing more I want in the world than to 1) have a house and 2) own everything in Empire to decorate my house. This store is unbelievable it almost resembles an art gallery, taking up two floors you can find everything in here from delicate feather bowls to baroque pink chairs, rustic wooden tables to über modern lamps and everything in between.
The visual merchandising of Empire is the key to its success, displaying and organising objects like artworks, people like myself forget that they are beautiful but everyday items and start seeing them like a rare artworks. The price of these marvellous pieces unfortunately brought me back to my senses; you really have to have own an empire to be able to afford anything from Empire. However it is definitely worth a visit and you should treat it like a gallery and just appreciate all its beauty.

If I was a material manifestation I would be this store, in fact, I’m doing everything in my conscious power to shortlist this as a reincarnation option! «Empire warehouse» lead me to optimistically believe that these functional art works could be obtainable at warehouse prices.. . warehouses for the gods! I thought about leaving after the first price tag. One of those awkward experiences where you laugh at the ridiculous «gazillion, bazillion dollars» seemingly made up value, before you realise it isn’t a typo and the tag itself is probably worth more than your life! However the aspiring dreamer in me refused to leave.
After spending a little longer looking for things to dislike, aside from the prices, I concluded that the majority of the stuff was great, but it was displayed in a way that it was almost hard to take it all in. Like a magic eye you have to stare at for ages and go a little cross eyed before it makes sense. That’s all I’ve got, if you don’t have time, a love of life or appreciate bright, new age or retro décor– avoid this shop.
I shall resist the temptation to punish myself again until I am little miss money bags!

Empire emulates a luxurious, Gypsy, jet-​setting existence. I want to own everything in store! Unfortunately I don’t have my own place, and the price tags are out of my reach, and so it has been one of favourite past times to float around Empire and fantasize about my dream home instead.
Empire is a whale of a store, spanning two levels. The stylish shop houses a stunning array of designer home wares that exude globetrotter, bohemian-​luxe. There’s an eclectic mix of modern and retro pieces, and styles with a strong Mediterranean aesthetic. You’ll find tables and chairs ranging from traditional Chinese in natural wood, to French baroque in bright pink and turquoise.
The bottom floor carries a great assortment of smaller wares and home accessories. There are patterned cushions and poofs, bath towels, bathrobes, candles, coffee table books and quirky ornaments. They also stock a substantial collection of Missoni homewares. Love.
The same floor also keeps a dazzling collection of exotic jewellery and breezy, beach side clothing. Empire stocks the likes of Two Bird, Lilya and Oscar The Third.
Upstairs you will find the more serious furniture for dining and living spaces. There are dining tables in all lengths and finishes. Chairs designed by the owner share floor space with styles sourced from all over the world.
Empire is more than just a home wares shop; it’s selling a lifestyle. A lifestyle I aspire too!

Empire is a fabulous contemporary warehouse filled with fantastic furniture and home wares designs. It really demonstrates how interior design is another form of art and how amazing it feels to style a home. It does come at a price though, looking at their bath towels, one for $ 90 ouch, that will look interesting on a registry. But if money is not an option, then this is the place to look for your ideal couches, tables, outdoor seating, fish tanks, bookcases, art, mirrors and so on. Don’t forget to wander upstairs, it gets even better!

Oh, if only I had the money to deck my house out Empire-​style. The aesthetic here is so chic and interesting, I often leave feeling sorrowful at not achieving such beauty in my own life. It’s aspirational stuff. Empire stocks a range of luxury furniture and home-​wares collections, as well as one-​off pieces sourced from across Australia and the globe. The store is designed for visual people — it’s almost like an art gallery with its restored loft-​style edifice, white palette and creative displays. It hires trained interior designers to offer service and advice, and places an emphasis on textiles with a bespoke lounge service. Collections include Missoni, Bemboka, iittala and Citta, and you’ll find distinct items for the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living. Some friends bought me a rad old-​school alarm clock here; it’s one of the greatest things I own.
