Bamboo

Was lucky enough to win tickets to Bamboo outdoor cinema through Unilocal and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! It was a cool evening and at one stage we thought the rain was going to come in, fortunately it was only a few light droplets which if anything freshened us up. After a day of being cooped in the office it was so wonderful to be able to relax and breathe in the fresh air!
The movie we saw was Nebraska with Bruce Dern. My friend and I enjoyed it immensely — — well acted, stirring and charged with pathos. A movie which made you sit up and think!
I must say I am a big fan of the huge, comfy bean bags which mould to your body shape. The easy access to the bar and the fact that you can bring in a delicious pizza from Ace Pizza (just next door) ensure a winning alfresco experience!

sadly I know that the end of the outdoor cinema season is almost upon us; one f the newest kids in the block this season was bamboo, though it is backed by the old hands of Lunar.
The venue was a real surprise treat with the amphitheatre setting ensuring no views were obstructed! The inclusion if a few beanbag lounges at the front and scattered cushion on the chairs made it oh so comfortable.
They are fitted out with a bar so getting a drink is easy and the allow you to bring food so you can either bring a picnic basket or pop next door to Ace Pizza to grab something.

I liked that they transformed the space with beanbags, deck chairs and pillows galore. We got drinks from the bar and they have many options and lots of fresh fruit cocktail toppings.
You can pick up and bring Ace Pizza in which was delicious for a before movie dinner. The pizza gets done really quickly, ours was done in under 5 minutes but allow enough time just in case!
They also have popcorn available at the bar.
I really enjoy outdoor style movies and seeing how this one continues to run through autumn be sure to check it out for a different experience!

I booked Bamboo for our company’s annual Christmas event and boy am I glad I did. After hearing dreary reports of the previous year’s party which was a formal, boring and stifled sit down dinner at a venue that shall not be named, it was time to change the format to a more casual yet classy affair.
This gorgeous, bamboo filled ampitheatre has been one of the hidden gems of Perth for a few years now. It was the perfect venue for a casual cocktail style party where the drinks flowed freely and has excellent acoustics for music and entertainment.
They use one of Perth’s better catering companies for the space, Heyder and Shears, who tailored a menu to suit. The team behind Luxe/​Bamboo also really know their stuff… they know what works and what doesn’t in their venue and run a slick professional show there.
One of the best venues I’ve worked with in events and that’s saying a lot!
