This review is for their buns only. The bun itself tastes very weird. Very salty and thick. Not my style. The meat is OK, not special. The weird thing is there is ginger in their meat… Nice interior design anyway.

Place looked promising, but it’s definitely more flash than substance. The food is actually alright, it’s not bad at all but it isn’t spectacular enough or priced well enough to warrant a visit back. You get your standard xiao long bao, pan fried dumplings, congee, noodle and rice dishes along with other types of dumplings. But each dish is close to $ 10 for 6 pieces… and considering the other options in the area it just doesn’t stand out. The major downside for Bun Gallery is the service and condiments or lack thereof. This place has two floors, and each floor only has one bottle of sriracha, and a small bottle each of vinegar and soy sauce. Seriously!!! This is a dumpling place and you don’t have vinegar and soy sauce at each table, but one communal bottle for each floor? That leads to a resource battle as you end up waiting for refills of vinegar/soy sauce and chilli sauce. Terrible lack of foresight. You also need to ask for spoons, because they don’t give you spoons… they also don’t serve tea. What kind of place is this?
