First time I came here, a nice guy made my sandwich. It was great. I went for my second visit today and the girl handled my money and didnt even bother to change gloves before making the sandwich. Didnt toast the bread and was too lazy to cut it in half. I will definitely avoid her shift bc the guys that made my first sandwich was the reason I went back a second time.

The classic pork roll was nice and so was the sugar cane juice, but the lemongrass chicken rice paper rolls were a whole other story. The rice paper was tough and chewy from sitting on the counter all… morning? We went there at 11:30am. The chicken wasn’t particularly tasty… it just tasted like regular ol’ chicken… no lemongrass involved. If I go back in the future, I’ll be sure to stick with the bread roll options.

This is mainly of a takeaway place since there are only two little tables outside. I got a variety of Vietnamese paper rolls and they were delicious. I want to come back and try some of the sandwiches. The price was good and service was quick.

I’ve become a fan of this place when I want a fresh roll with fresh ingredients at a reasonable price especially being located in the city. I love a good banh mi and one of the problems I have are some places it’s either white crusty bread or they have sliced bread if you were after wholemeal. Here you can choose from white, wholemeal or soy linseed roll. I always opt for the wholemeal and it has always been crusty on the outside(but not too much that tears your gums) and soft in the inside. Finally tried one of their drinks today — mango smoothie. nom nom nom. They also offer fresh cold rolls(summer rolls as some call it) which has not disappointed me yet. Place is clean and«most» of the staff are friendly.

This is only a review on their beverages, I haven’t actually tried their sandwiches yet. My go to drink I order here is the freshly pressed sugar cane juice with a squeeze of lime. $ 5.90 gets you a large which is quite reasonable. They also make other fresh juices and smoothies; so far I have not been disappointed.

OK — time for a confession. I am abusing the 5:2 diet. I went to Banh me, sorry mi, K today and got a Classic Chicken roll. Then I went to Sydney Pork Rolls and got a chicken roll with extra chilli, and Coriander(Cheers BB) I went and got some stuff at Pontip to cook on the weekend Then I went to DTF and had a plate of dumplings. The rolls are better at Banh Mi K but the fillings are better at Sydney Pork Rolls. DTF still do the best dumplings in Sydney. At this rate I will BE a dumpling before the end of this year. I didn’t even do the two days of fasting this week! I need help.

I decided to try the classic pork sandwich here on a whim which is the one advertised for $ 3.95 on their window. The ingredients are fresh, although I have to admit that I have had better Banh Mi sandwiches before. Even still I would have to say that the sandwiches here are better than the Pork Rolls shop just down on the other side of George Street. I would probably come back here again especially since the price is very reasonable for Sydney CBD.

Recommend the classic(has pork) and vegan sandwiches with chilli. The owner is exceedingly amicable about personally greeting customers. The ingredients were very fresh. The price is very affordable for Sydney. The owner is very proud that this restaurant sticks to authentic rather than responding to what the market wants. He said multiple customers asked him to put other things in the sandwiches like cheese or tofu but he declined. My wish for five-stars is that this restaurant offer a little more variety in the sandwich ingredients.(e.g. tomato, tofu, basil or other ingredients). Overall, I recommend eating here for brunch or lunch at least once.

With 3 types of bread, all the usual Vietnamese filling(my pick — lemongrass chicken), super fresh salad and a nicely balanced sauce poured on at the end this is a pretty solid option in the city when you need to get your bahn on. Throw in an extra $ 1 and you’ll get a drink. Hangover busting tip: get extra chilli — it will burn your mouth off and remind you that you’re alive.

Stumbled upon this place(as a local) and decided to try it out as I do sometimes crave a good Banh Mi sometimes. The Banh Mi is pretty good, and staff very friendly. Also noted that this place has sugarcane juice which I have a try too which was quite refreshing. This place is highly recommended and has saved me the long trek into Cabramatta.
