Sardi is a quickly growing café in Melbourne thanks to its adorable Instagram feed. Sardi promotes healthy brunches and meals, all while appealing aesthetically to the eye. The meals are based around the typical«superfood» trend found across australia right now. My friend and I went to brunch here on a Saturday morning around 10 and were able to find a table, although this place does not offer much seating. It’s located in the middle of a quaint neighborhood so it’s also a bit out of the city center, think more local clients rather than a tourist attraction. I got a green tea matcha latte and acai bowl whereas my friend got a regular latte and smashed ago toast. I’ve had better lattes, but my acai bowl was done quite well, and I do love how Australia uses Frozen acai rather than the powder. It tastes much better. Looking at the bowl originally I didn’t think it would fill me up, but it did perfectly. My friend enjoyed her latte and smashed avo, and had enjoyed this place before. The service was average, it was hard to pay the bill and even get the end total so we could split it. But the meal itself was nice. I’d just wish for better service and more seating, otherwise the food is good!

Sardi has made it into my top five FAVOURITEMELBOURNECAFES! I know, big call. One I’m absolutely prepared to stand behind. I walked in one rainy Melbourne morning and was unexpectedly treated to one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever tasted! I bravely ventured beyond my usual poached eggs, salmon and avo, and ordered the Superfood Breakfast Bowl — asparagus, kale, avocado, buckhinis, chives, lemon, parsley with poached eggs & almond dukkah. Wow! I ordered their house-made paleo bread on the side. Along with a perfectly made almond milk latte(Almond Milk Co of course), my senses were in heaven. One very happy and satisfied girl was I! On top of it all, the staff were actually genuinely lovely(sadly rare for a café, especially mid week)! Seating is very limited, so I wouldn’t go for brunch on a weekend, but takeaways would be fine. My tip would be to go mid week, as I did, when it’s still busy enough to create a buzzy vibe, but not so overcrowded that you’re waiting in a forty-person deep line outside(which I’ve seen these Hawthorn Sardi fans doing)!! If you’re a lover of Melbourne street art, you have to go to Sardi just to check out their graffiti side wall, if for nothing else! Thanks Sardi, you’ve ticked all my boxes :)
