Fast service, great prices and delicious meal! Highly recommended! Rogan josh melted in the mouth. Lemon rice was lovely dish to accompany mains. Lamb cutlets, tandoori chicken and lamb kofta were moist and flavoursome! The only disappointment was roti bread was a little over cooked. Otherwise meal was great!

D’Tandoor is a great stop if you are craving Indian food and haven’t got much money. It is to students in the area what the soup kitchen is to homeless people. Needless to say, it is always packed and has been a popular destination for a while now. While the menu is simple, the food is tasty and very satisfying. The setting for the restaurant is sparse and not very imaginative, however because the prices are so reasonable you don’t really mind. Favourites include lamb boona with capsicums and onion, chicken tikka masala, and dal makhani. All are delicious and rich. I usually get some rice and naan to go with these, and if I’m eating in with friends we’ll get some starters. D’Tandoor also offers takeaway, which is great for me when I have to study at home. The service is always fast and professional, the only problem you face is getting a table during exam times.
