A relatively new addition to Glenferrie and Riversdale Road corner! Usual chicken packs more of an upmarket Red Rooster, crispy skins with amazing flavour and texture! Nice herb n spices mix, good portions chooks are fresh chips a little too salty a selection of salads are available but I’m not a rabbit so can’t review them! Good décor inside clean so if eating in is your thing you will be comfy! 3 tram routes at door?

Never«open for business» until 8pm. The staff are always closing from around 7.30 on with all salads packed away and quite often have no chicken, yes that’s right a chicken shop with no chicken at 7.30. Now what I can tell you is that I saw the staff take«their» chickens out the back for their dinners at home. It should be made clear that the service does not cease at 8pm, the shop closes at 8pm which means you will be told to «hurry up!» With your order or you’ll be refused service I didn’t get my ¼ chicken and chips for $ 9 instead I had to opt for a burger and chips for a whopping $ 14.50! It may only be $ 5.50 to some but when you spread it amongst many customers, it amounts to quite a considerable amount more spent that desired. Not too mention I get home and they’d forgot to include the gravy which I was charged. Big thumbs down. Just go down the road to buy the exact same roast chicken(Lilydale chicken) at the supermarket.

Chicken central may just be my new go to for relatively healthy(it does depend on you!) quick meal. There is a variety of options including wraps, burgers and chicken pieces, complemented with a side of salad or chips. If you do go the chips — they are huge servings. WINNING! Parking is a bit of a pain, but for a reasonalbily priced and healthy meal, I’ll deal with the parking situation.
