This review is only for my experience for a take away. The order on the phone is taken quickly. good. Once you reach there… you have to wait around the counter hoping to get someone’s attention. Then when you do. no smile.no hi. they get your order. hand it off. An important part of any business is the service. This place has a long way to go in terms of being nice/warm/courteous to their customers. sorry but I dont think anyone who is treated that will head back here.

Walking in there’s a surprisingly large amount of dining space, they’ve certainly done what they can to cater to as many people as they can possibly fit. The samosa were brought out in small serving trays and small spoons for pouring the sauce, with no plates or cutlery provided. Then the mains were brought out, again in serving bowls/trays, and no plates or cutlery provided until we asked for some. The food was in the realms of good to ok, but well short of what I’d expect from an establishment in the heart of Harris Park.

We always enjoy going back to Billus. Though they can tend to be a bit crowded especially during weekends we love the food they serve. The chilli chicken with naan is a personal favourite. We have also tried their non veg thali as well as lamb curry which was both exceptional. Serve can tend to be a bit slow especially when it gets busy but once the food comes in you forget about the slow service. The price is also reasonable for the quantity you get. Their desserts though can be a bit of hit and mess. Only other downfall is that the restaurant tends to get quite hot and stuffy especially during the summer months.

The atmosphere is great on wigram Street, especially on weekend nights. This restaurant is better for dinner and needs more lunch specials to compete with the many other options on this street for work lunches.

Poor service I came with a pregnant wife and had to wait over 30 mins for my order of thali and chole batura. An all I got from the staff you have to wait its a busy time. Why not set expectations before hand. Even the food was very bad. Too much masala not salt. The prices have also gone up. 16.50 for a thali when other restaurant’s on wigram street are less than $ 15 and offer a lot more value for money.

Authentic Indian at its best. Palak paneer was very delicious, they have roti which you hardly see and the chilli chicken that I have never seen in an Indian restaurant before was fantastic.

Great food, some of the best Indian I’ve had. Service is lacking, you can be left waiting to order for a while but if you can see past that you will thoroughly enjoy you time there. Pricing is reasonable Great place to go with a group or the family.

Parramatta is home to many Indian restaurants but Billu’s seemed to be the most popular restaurant that night. It was very crowded and I’m not sure why. I didn’t find the food exceptionally good. Plus the place seems more popular with non-vegetarians so the tables next to me were filled with non-veg dishes and the aroma, quite frankly is revolting for a pure vegetarian like me. The service was below average, could be because of the large crowd? To be fair, I have to admit the price is on par with all the other restaurants nearby. The Dal was quite tasty and they do offer a huge choice of North Indian, South Indian and Chat options.
