Nice place. Sit upstairs. The mixed drinks are ok — recommend getting a bottle of wine. Pizza good. Not great. The eggplant ‘chips’ are done very well — recommended.

New Years Eve is a special, special time of year for me. I didn’t have any concrete plans so when I discovered Justin Lane was having a party I decided it might be a pretty cool idea to get tickets($ 90 per person for the Rooftop Bar which ended up selling out). I had dined downstairs at the pizza restaurant before and quite enjoyed myself but didn’t know what to expect from the newly renovated bar and eating area– I was definitely not disappointed! The new roof top bar at Justin Lane is simple and elegant with a very trendy twist although I must say there is not a lot of seating space in the outdoor portion– although indoors is quite okay also. The drinks are strong, the bar tenders friendly and the food is phenomenal! On NY they were bringing around different canapés including pizza, all were really tasty and well presented. Definitely would come back here to have some drinks and eat some more food!

I’d been eagerly awaiting an opportunity to eat here & finally that moment presented itself! I arrived early(a rarity for me but I was obviously keen to try this restaurant!) as I was advised no bookings are taken & was promptly shown to one of the few remaining tables opposite the kitchen. My dinner date arrived & we ordered pickled zucchini with feta & bread entrée enjoyed with a Italian Pinot Grigio then shared THEANCHOVY pizza; wholemeal(someone left all their crusts!) with anchovies(obviously), cherry tomatoes, capers & basil — making for quite a salty combination ideal enjoyed with a beer apparently. Dessert consisted of chocolate torte with coffee mascarpone which left wanting more. Next visit I’d like to try the tiger prawn or lamb pizza as they sounded delish. Friendly service with quite a nice ambience(just not opposite the kitchen at the stairs to the toilets).

Best I had in this area. The beer is fruity and the staff are decent. Ordered 4 cheese pizza, meatballs and a beer. Total bill came up to $ 44. The pizza is not bad but not the best. Would return again.

A very popular bar and pizza restaurant in the Gold Coast. Upon arriving we were told the wait would likely be about 45 minutes in the bar, which didn’t really appear, so we opted for takeout and a bottle of wine from round the corner. We placed our order and we were told to come back in about 20 mins or wait at the bar — off we went to grab some wine and a side salad. Upon our return(10 mins later!) we were told that a number of tables had opened up and we’d be welcome to have our food in the restaurant. Errr… what happened to the long wait? That’s some lazy/poor front of house management there guys. I wasn’t particularly impressed with being charged to remove my cherry tomatoes and have them replaced by mushrooms. I was just charged the rate for extra mushrooms. That being said, the pizza was very, very good. The toppings were perfectly cooked, be they chicken, pepperoni or artichoke. The base and crusts were moreish! I actually really like the feel of the restaurant whilst we waited — it’s a red wine in a tumbler kind of place which I suspect could fall either side of the tricky balance between downbeat/cool and aloof/arrogant. We didn’t find out — we enjoyed our own company back at the apartment with our cheaper wine!

Hendricks and tonic. What a find. Attentive staff and a great pizza. I was welcomed but felt under dressed in shorts and thongs, other patrons had made more of an effort and upon returning, so will I. Enjoyed an elegant evening, with funky music and a relaxed atmosphere.

Brilliant pizza. The best pizza is their Chicken pizza but the seafood pizza is also fab. They are one of the few pizza places in Australia that do sourdough pizza bases and boy does it make a difference.

As the, pizza sat at the table you could smell the waft of bbqed chicken drift above & into your nostril and immediately think gee I want to taste that in my mouth. Savoring every bite and tasting each burst of flavour is absolutely devine… You hit the cherry tomato on the tomatoe & pesto base and immediately you think I didnt get any bbqed chicken where is it? and then you delicately look at the slice on your plate and look for the chicken, you see it and have found it you slowly begin to cut that next slice of your pizza… Eventually it is ready… There that slice sits on your plate, you lick your lips and start salivating at the thought of the taste and burst of flavours… You bring your fork to your mouth and it hits your tongue… The flavours explode… Wow… You can barely contain yourself and can hardly wait for that next piece. The cannoli was damn fine, and the butter ice cream with shot of frangelico was luscious. This place gets busy! if you want to dine around 7:30/8pm slot, get there early place your name down, go have a drink then come back. They are expanding upstairs, not sure when that will be happening.
