Daark Espresso

I checked out Daark Espresso on Instagram & knew we had to visit while holidaying on the GC!
We had a large group– 12 people– and arrived at 7:15am for breakfast on a Saturday. The staff were so efficient and friendly, even tho we had such a big group! They seated us within 5 mins and accommodated our big group even tho the café doesn’t have a lot of seating.
The food was so amazing and totally lived up to expectations! My poached eggs with thick cut bacon & homemade hash browns were delicious. The relish on top of the eggs was so good too!
Coffee was great and the iced long black another family member had was strong & delish.
I totally recommend Daark Espresso for breakfast! Thanks guys for wonderful service, great coffee & delicious food!

Loved my corn fritters with a side of hash browns. And my acai smoothie was beautiful and refreshing. Staff were wonderful. Highly recommended!

By far the best coffee in the area! The staff are friendly, the food is delicious and they know how to properly prepare a soy latte I love this place

Best coffee going around. Food is up there too. Service is great and the atmosphere is exactly what you want to have a relaxing coffee and a bite to eat

How have I not reviewed this place yet! If you were to ask my why i love this place I would say this; «it’s one of the most consistant places on the Gold Coast» The service is always outstanding, the coffee (Supreme Roasters) is always solid, (but i do love to taint it by ordering a Dirty Chai) and I am yet to find a fault with the food (here’s hoping that never ever happens). I have managed to introduce several of my friends to Daark, each of them leaving rather impressed. Only top quality produce is used and it shows in the care that is taken all the way from the kitchen to the table.

Excellent coffee. Great service. Great tasting salted caramel brownie, but would be good if there was a bit more to choose from in the cake display. I’ll definitely be back!

Another place taking the GC by storm! I saw they did a honeycomb affogatto and had to try it since I have a sick obsession with honeycomb. It was pretty good, but the espresso was a bit harsh for me (I wanna say it was really acidic). I ended up getting a little biscotti to try to balance out my pallet a bit.
It’s a cute little café and the staff was very nice and friendly. Definitely a good spot to hit up for a coffee or some breakfast!

These guys are the new kids on the block at Chirn Park.
However, they certainly are not new to the industry. With so much expertise behind the lines it’s not surprising that on their first 6 months of trading they took out the best coffee awards and came 4^th for the best breakfast on the GC… Actually, what is surprising is that these guys, both owners, baristas and chef all came from other establishments that didn’t even rate a mention in the competition! Goes to show that sometimes it takes you to look beyond the big name places and find the people that are hidden in their kitchens ect ect.
The coffee here is a delight, smooth on the palate with no ashy aftertaste that has become so common to the Gold Coast and the menu is constantly changing and evolving with the seasons.
Keep up the great work guys, there’s a lot of people in the industry that should be stepping up noticing you!
