Hair Challenge

I’ve never personally had my hair cut here but one week, in desperate need of getting my young daughter’s hair cut and unable to get into my usual salon, I ventured down the main strip of Glenroy searching through the windows of walk in salons. You know the kind, they’ve all got the black and white, half wiped out $ 10 signs.
Walking into what I thought looked like the best one, I was approached by two young and enthusiastic hair dressers. As one was female, she eagerly took my daughter by the hand when I explained she was shy and nervous and made the whole process into a little girls pampering wonderland!
Kylie, the hairdresser, made my daughter feel like a ‘big girl’ Princess, out spoiling herself doing ‘girly’ things with mummy. Sitting her on the biggest seat and calling it her throne, I was honestly amazed that on a Saturday morning Kylie the hairdresser had more patience and ability with my child than her kinder teachers.
My daughter’s long thick hair was shaped and thinned a bit and I was really happy with the end result. Most of all, I was so greatful that my fill in find didn’t manage to destroy any future salon visits with my daughter! In fact, she’s actually told me she’d prefer to go here. Really great service, and the final result was exactly what I’d asked for. Two thumbs up. :)
