There is a scarcity of fishmongers in the Glenelg area considering it is a beach side suburb. And, because there is so little competition, it doesn’t lead to anything spectacular in the way of seafood retailers. This fishmongers is ok but nothing to rave about. The fish I have bought is ok but not super fresh or super interesting.
They do have lots of recipe cards on the front counter which is useful and you can see the filleting station from the shop itself which is a little reassuring. All in all this place is worth a visit if you can’t get to the markets for your general seafood requirements but if you are cooking something extra special I would go elsewhere.
