Paella Valencia is worth to try. 2 men cannot finish it as I think it is for at least 3 people. Well done!

located underneath the novotel and in the century walk of glen waverly it is quiet a busy restaurant. they also have an outdoor eating area where most people will sit there to smoke. it’s a nice casual place to chill out with some friends for a quiet nice and the food prices aren’t too pricey. they have a big menu ranging from pizza’s, pasta’s, steaks, fish and chips, salads and drinks. something for everyone including a kids menu. i usually come and order pasta as it’s the safest option and i quiet enjoy it as i don’t order pasta anywhere else i go. staff are friendly but service isn’t prompt as they are a big restaurant so the service is bit slow.

If I could give them zero stars I would!!! We ate here tonight, Sunday the 8th, and have experienced one of the worst meals to date. We felt like plain, normal food after a very long and busy weekend. What we got was a well done steak, when I ordered rare… This was accompanied by a cold mash potato, with a colder mushroom gravy. My girlfriend ordered a Parma, it was okay apart from the cold vegetables that accompanied that also. However, half way through eating it she found a large dark hair at the bottom of her Parma. She and I called over the waitress because it was unacceptable. She said it is probably off the oil brush… This was obviously a blatant lie. She took my girlfriends meal and a manager returned. He offered no help at all! He said the best he can do is take 10 percent from our overall price equating to 6.90 dollars! We were outraged and left. Undoubtedly the worst place along this amazing foodie street!!! Shocking food, shocking service and even worse problem solving!!!

I used to love this place for breakfast. They made a great spanish omelette. Sadly they took it off the menu and I haven’t found anything to draw me back since. The décor is very slick. The staff were always engaged when I was there. Was a good venue for an 18th birthday party too. They’re open later than a lot of places too. Shine’s good without being mind blowing.

Pretty nice food been there twice now and I am happy with the food both times. Service isn’t too bad either. Having a live jazz band definitely a bonus too.

I’m a regular at Shine. I go with one of my BFFs and we stay from brekky through to lunch. I only ever order either a breakfast or the Crispy Chicken Salad for lunch. Sometimes we just get a bowl of their really yummy shoe string hot chips with sour cream and sweet chilli. They really look after us and know us there as regulars. They could keep our water topped up a bit better, but all in all good service. We’ve been very happy with the coffees and they even do a GRANDE for us in an extra tall glass. It’s strong and robust without being bitter. That’s why they are on my coffee list. The food is not the highlight here, but the atmosphere for catching up with friends and the outdoor seating is nice. And for the price, it’s a better option than Coco Lounge.

Having spent some time in both the café and the bar, I can safely say that Shine is trying very hard to give you the city nightlife experience at suburb prices. Read: it’s cheap. Read deeper: the managers are definitely skimping on certain costs — like the cost of training their staff. Shine is a little bit tacky. A little bit fake. Not my thing.

This is one of the local hot spots in Glen Waverley, and has managed to sustain its place on Kingsway whilst its neighbors’ are constantly changing faces. Shine is decked out in a red lounge like theme, there is an outdoor seating area where a live jazz band often plays on the weekends. This is a simple, hip café/restaurant. It’s large menu offers a range of different flavors and cuisine(from souvlaki, to curry) to suit everyone’s tastes. I enjoy coming here when I’m looking for a good hearty meal(their steak is huge and delicious). I usually walk past shine at lunchtime and though its not too busy, there’s always business workers out enjoying lunch. Dinner gets busy, but not too busy that you would have to wait for a table. The atmosphere here is trendy and casual, there is even a lounge upstairs that has a bar, should you wish to stay out a little longer. The price is standard for what you get, and the food is generally consistent and pleasant. I will come here again soon.

Kingsway is a busy, busy place. Lined with café after café, a cinema complex, and plenty of restaurants, it has become a fun place to go to catch up with friends. Shine has a few things going for it. The first is that it is quite well laid out. It has a fairly trendy food menu. But the best thing about the place is the drinks menu. There are over a dozen different beers available, plenty of wines, and the cocktail list — oh, the cocktail list! — make this place worthy of checking out. It is constantly busy. It’s got a bit of a trendy, happening vibe. The atmosphere is pretty awesome. There are some downsides though. The service is mediocre to average. The food, well, the menu itself is appealing, but the food is a bit of a letdown. I’ve got friends that love the food, but I have yet to have an enjoyable eating experience. And it’s expensive. Go there if you’re having coffee or drinks with friends. If you’re looking for food, this place is my last resort.

With its comfy lounge seating and spacious interior, Shine is the perfect place to go for a coffee or an off-site work meeting. Think Starbucks, but with style and coffee you’ll actually enjoy. The coffee is fantastic here, and there’s a great selection of delicious, fresh cakes(recommend the sticky date!). Shine is also great for a breakfast before work, with good cooked breakfasts at reasonable prices. After hours, Shine transforms into a bar catering to a local crowd.
