Fantastic coffee with a custom blend from Cartel Roasters. Friendly unpretentious service.

Perfect coffee every time. Delicious. Good breakfast options from your usual eggs with sides, hotcakes, Bircher and porridge. Lunch offerings are burgers, pides and the likes. But the coffee is the standout. Great spot, right next to Glenhuntly train station. X

Coffee here was a delight(when it finally arrived). Very busy on a Sunday, meals were generous and the beans taken home for later were a lovely Guatemalan single origin roasted three days beforehand. Staff were friendly and I would definitely make this a regular hang out and recommend to friends who like to drink good coffee.

This place has good food. Sadly it’s taken me an average of 45mins to get it each time. :-(

Workshop had very quickly become one of my favourites in the south-east. Owned by brothers, I’m wishing I was a part of the family so I had an excuse to drop in more. So why is this place so fantastic? Firstly, the staff here are lovely. Recently, I booked a table of 11 for a Sunday morning and they couldn’t have been more pleasant or accommodating! They’re happy to chat coffee tasting notes with you and they’re genuinely keen to hear what you thought. I found they’re constantly going exceeded your expectations, by remembering a detail from the last time you were in. The staff are also keen on social media, especially Instagram, which I believe reinforces how interested the staff are in what their customers think. Secondly, the food is A+. From the classics to the combinations(think hotcakes crossed with a doughnut), everything’s been delicious. I like that the menu is broken up into meals and a something light page, so you have a reasonable idea of portion sizing when ordering. Thirdly, these boys(I’m yet to see a girl working?) know what they’re doing with the coffee beans. Choosing between pourovers, single origin coffees and cold drips… My guess is you’re going to be satisfied no matter what you order! Talk to the staff, let them know what you likely and they’re more than happy to make a recommendation. Workshop has given the Glen Huntley area a much needed spark. It’s conveniently located(almost) next to the station, which I imagine the train commuters are loving. The fit out is gorgeous, with lots of exposed brick, natural sunlight and some gorgeous lights. One last thing — cutest logo I’ve seen, go and see for yourself!

It starts with some rustic brick walls that have been been filled enthusiasm and love for coffee. So if you don’t have time to stay and have a meal with a great coffee, at least grab a take away, just for the adorable picture on the cup of the three brothers that opened the coffee hot spot! Their meals are well mixed from some simple loveable favourites, to the more complex flavours that excite your taste buds and complete your senses. Lets get back to the coffee now! So they are just a group of staff that love what they do, and you can tell that with every coffee you have. If you enjoy coffee but don’t know your coffee that well — this place is perfect, these guys can work with whatever you like and the little you do know. They have heaps of beans, flavours and variety in coffee styles with your filters, pour overs or standard espresso! Overall their service is immaculate, friendly and in someways comforting. Coffee lovers will rejoice here for a longtime to come!

Amazing coffee! Sourced from very good independent roasters in Melbourne. Make sure to sure to try out the quinoa partties, one of the best breakfasts in Melbourne!

Another new, spectacular café to add to Melbourne’s already ginormous list. Located just next to Glenhuntly Station, I am envious of those who get to visit this fine little shop on the way to work in the morning. They’ve got that nice, light wooden look to the place and a nice, friendly and spacious feel to it. The business cards are even made out of wood. What?! The coffee is amazing. I had their specialty of specialty blends and it went down a treat. They serve the likes of Axil, Cartel, Monk Bodhi Dharma and more so you know that they know what they’re doing and the best thing is that they don’t know that you know that they know what they’re doing. Meaning, they’re not snobby about it. It is just plain old, perfect, delicious coffee. They serve some great food here and I’m a little fond of the choc almond muffins. They’re baked fresh and are free of all those nasty preservatives. I savoured mine and then ended up getting another one for later. Moral of the story: they know how to food. Not even sure if that makes sense but just go with it. Workshop is a wonderful addition to Melbourne’s already amazing coffee scene.
