This place is awesome. $ 5 Pad Thai — large portions and tasty too. Super casual, lo-​fi meals. Be warned, rice is a dollar extra.

It took me some research to find out what the actual name of this restaurant was. The only hanging sign says $ 5 pad thai. So that’s what I call it, and apparently everyone else does, too. And that basically sums up the entire restaurant. When I go to a place with the aforementioned name, I don’t expect quality, cleanliness, or a stylish venue. In fact, I went to this place with no expectations. It’s as ‘hole in the wall’ as you can get, hiding on the corner of Glebe Point Rd and Bride Rd. Miniscule in size, the chefs here can whip up a pad thai in no time. There are also several other dishes features in the menu, but I never cared to look since pad thai has always been my safe bet.
Obviously, the food here neither consists of the best quality ingredients nor does it taste outstanding. But for five bucks, it is surely a bargain when I’m in need for speedy takeout. Cheaper and healthier than McDonald’s for sure!
