Ah! Finally! A coffee shop in Geelong that gets it right! Since my move to «the big smoke» (Melbourne) 5 years ago, my taste for coffee has increased and I have become quite a snob. I need a good crema and the perfect temperature! Thankfully, Steampacket came along and they get it right every time.
More so than that, Steampacket acts as a café, a deli and a catering company. In fact, the team catered my 18^th birthday and did a bloody great job. By 11pm everyone was a bit boozed and wanting more — the poor bartender couldn’t keep up — the owner of the business, who had simply stopped by to see how everything was going, bravely stepped behind the bar to help out. Magnificent service.
While Steampacket is in a bit of a weird location it is definitely worth the trip there. Quality food, coffee and the most ‘Melbourne’ café to be found in the town.
