Gawler Palace Chinese Restaurant

We had 5 star excellent service here.
When we walked in a lovely gentleman was there to greet us and usher us to a table — taking into consideration the little whining baby we had with us he offered us a high chair and sat us at a larger accommodating table.
After a complimentary bowl of prawn crackers for hubby, we ordered drinks (wine and some table water) which came quick smart and we ordered our dinner.
Mixed veg and spring rolls for me, and honey chicken and rice for hubby (baby just gets to watch on)
My food was amazing and the $ 10 carafe of wine was very enjoyable. The whole way through we had lovely service and they checked to make sure our food was satisfactory etc a few times. The man even stopped to smile and wave at the baby.
Our dishes were removed post haste and hubby was given a take away container to take the rest of his home.
Now for the best part! Deep fried ice cream — can’t go past it — I will let you check the photos to decide.
Over all an amazing experience — good service always wins!

I’ve been to the Gawler Chinese restaurant a few times and each time I’ve been rather impressed. The restaurant itself is clean and tidy, and generally well presented. My usual dish is sweet-​and-​sour scallops, which are lighty battered, fresh and full of flavour. The special fried rice is also delicious. The rice is cooked just right, and you can taste of the garlic and ginger and soy flavours.
The staff extra friendly, and always seem happy to see me. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone with a craving for Chinese.
