New Edition is a lovely little bookshop. They have a great selection of new and classic books, plus some literary themed magazines. The staff have done a good job of finding really interesting titles to highlight in their displays.

I could spend all day in this store!
Now in its new location on the corner of High and Henry Street, New Edition is still delivering great reads — gardening, design, fiction, sci-​fi, biography, and lots of kitschy, cute or funny books that are great for gifts. They also stock a great range of greeting cards.
I was after a couple of fictional novels for my book club, but unfortunately they didn’t have them in stock. This is definitely a place to buy a book based around an interest, or an impulse buy when you see a book that looks interesting, as they don’t stock a lot of mainstream popular books like most other bookshops.
One of my favourtie stores in Perth — a must visit when in Freo.
