A cute boutique store with a fresh and hip feeling café. The shop section is a treasure trove for gifts and a new wardrobe. The wares are all locally owned businesses and have that market feel. There are candles in cement pot through to bamboo sheets. This is the perfect place to find a birthday gift for all your family members and friends or even just yourself(we all need to remember to ‘treat yo self’ more). Having graduated from curtin last year I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to enjoy the coffee that comes lovingly made by a bearded barista(I am willing to be the on the bandwagon to admitting there is a correlation between beards and great coffee) however was joyously surprised when I found they had opened two cafes to add to their bicycle coffee carts I had loved. You no longer need to Facebook stalk their location as their coffee is serviced from a stationary location. The coffee is superb and the eats are just as good. They seemed to have a range of sweet and savory with some ‘healthy’ options for those looking a raw treat or stave off the hunger as they paroos the store. There is a high communal table, a couch and some smaller benches out the front for those wanting to eat/drink in the store. Check out this gem in Fremantle to get both gifts, treasures and delicious food/coffee!

What an amazing shop! I had only experienced Common Ground in Northbridge prior to visiting their Fremantle store, and the Fremantle store is much bigger and better. A big focus on locally designed clothes for both men and women. A more streetwear focus for guys, lots of great printed t-shirts for any age, both my husband and father in law snapped some up. The women’s clothes vary greatly in styles, with a section of the store dedicated to each brand or designer. There are some quite bohemian style threads, through to much more cutting-edge designs that I could see the singer Robyn wearing. The prices are much more affordable than other stores that stock local fashion designers, and the staff were approachable. Can’t wait to come back when I’m a bit more cashed up.
