Choose it! Mix it! Smash it! Love it! That’s how it works here at Cold Rock. Being able to select your ice cream and then shove all the sweets in it that’s humanly possible, is the perfect recipe for the ultimate ice cream experience.
Cold Rock is definitely reminiscent of when your parents would take you to get ice cream. However, there wasn’t all the choices or all the sweets that there are now that you can mix into your flavoured ice cream. You’re certainly left drooling looking at all the possibilites… they’re endless, just like the massive brain freeze.
Some really incredible tasting concoctions could be had at this joint. Mixing ice cream with loads of sweets, definitely leads to a sugar coma.

Cold Rock is the sugary holy grail for all those with a sweet tooth and a love of cold confectionary. The idea is you choose a flavour and add from a buffet or add-​ins. Stuff like M&M’s, cookie dough, marshmallows, brownies, crunchies, gummie bears… sorry, have to stop now, I’m salivating.
I recommend the cookie dough with basically anything.

I love Cold Rock ice-​cream and I’m honestly surprised that it’s not more popular. I thought by now the purveyors of this sugary joy would have taken over the western world, McDonald’s style.
But they haven’t. So you have to make the most of it when you see it. I’ve not noticed it anywhere other than Freo so when I see the lovely ‘Cold Rock’ sign looming before me, I run right in to this tasty and tantalising cove.
Freo is a great place for the outlet and I’m often in the mood for it after finishing a lovely meal somewhere along the Cappuccino Strip. Your favourite ice cream mixed with a few of your favourite biscuits or chocolates (or biscuits and chocolates — depending on how decadent you are) is a dessert that’s hard to beat.
Kid’s obviously love this place, but be warned, they’ll want to concoct their own versions at home. Fun for them, not so fun for the anyone cleaning it up. And remember, once you come here they’ll want to come here for sweets every time you’re out. But that’s okay if you love it as much as I do.

Cold Rock is every kid and grown up kids absolute dream! You get to choose your favourite flavour of ice cream and then choose ANY kind of topping you like! It’s a sugar rush of dreams and every dentists and parents nightmare. There are a few around Australia, but not so many, so when you’re taking a stroll after dinner and spot the Cold Rock sign, you can’t help but run in and start choosing your personal favourites. You really do instantly feel like a kid as you start combining bubblegum ice cream with Oreos, M&M’s and raspberries and then watching the staff smash it all up into a crazy flavour concoction for you! Just beware of the sugar rush that comes after finishing your ice cream and then the sugar crash that follows! But it’s a fun, yummy experience!
