I’m pretty hard on belts so they have to be well made to last and they have to be well priced to tempt me Looking good is also a requirement. The belts here fit the bill and at $ 30 are very reasonably priced. I bought one to try and on my next trip o bought 5 more! Yep they’re that good.

I’ve been walking around with the most ridiculously near-to-death belt holding up my pants for about six months now. Every time I put it on it dies a little more: flaking, creasing, little bits of it coming off in my hands, and me wearing my shirt untucked to hide the essential tackiness of the last accessory I purchased. I’m not a vegan, or even a vegetarian, and have no problem with wearing leather. That, paired with the abovementioned facts about my belt, meant that I was more than open to the cowhide leather supports I found hanging at Stall 94 at the Fremantle Markets. With the stall owner was more than happy to help me sizing, and assuring me that that Western Australian leather wouldn’t die the death like that rubbish from back east, I soon found myself the owner of a brand new pants-suspension system – and for a mere twenty-eight dollars. The place also has wallets available, but the one I’ve got is doing me nicely. If cowhide isn’t your thing, and you’re more interested in wrapping native fauna around your waist, Cleverworks Retail also offers kangaroo and crocodile options. According to the Fremantle Markets website, they’re currently offering crocodile hornback belts for ninety-nine dollars down from one hundred and seventy-five.
