Lucky Egg is a great little food container tucked away in the valley specialising in speciality free range fried chicken and locally sourced produce. I’ve been a big fan of these guys ever since they opened, and have chowed down on more of their burgers than I’d care to admit. The staple, the original crispy, is a perfect balance of succulent tender fried chicken and a great slaw with a nice hint of chilli. The service isn’t the quickest given the size of the kitchen, but they’re attached to The Brightside, so you can have a few beers while you wait. Definitely a favourite spot in the valley to pop in for a quick feed and I never leave disappointed. They also offer a weekly special burger which is always an inspired mix of tastes from the owner, Jake.

The food was far too salty and had no egg The burger bun was good except that the chicken was hard and too salty for my tastes, it just didn’t mesh well. I loved the blue cheeses sauce that’s something that makes them different and the wings were good yet again had far too much salt. I will go here again drunk at 2am but I wouldn’t choose here sober
