This restaurant was fun was a big group of people it’s a long time to get the table approximately one hour and we consumed quite a few drinks in the alleyway beforehand. I would definitely recommending preserving a table with a large group, all the restrictions on reservations apply. The salads are all amazing we had the Birdsnest salad, we also had the Moreton Bay bug curry which is beautiful, and the Penang curry which is quite spicy, The pads saed eww was excellent and quite different! Overall an excellent place to dine but. Would recommend a large group to make the most of trying all the meals.

Dinner with my niece while visiting Brissie. We sat at the bar & we had excellent advice & service, even to the extent of not letting us over-order! The food & drinks were excellent and the place wasn’t overly noisy despite being a full house.

Love this place! When did Brisbane become so bloody groovy! I’ve been living in America for 2 years, so I’m hard to please with service but we sat at the bar and everyone was beyond great. Even who — I think the manager — was so kind and tried to warn us we «may have» ordered too much(after apparently seeing our order ticket). He said after the first two courses if we weren’t hungry they would cancel the third. Of course we continued to call away the third ans even order desert! Love this place! Hidden gem with awesome flavors! No boring yellow chicken curries here! Do it! We were at the door at 5:30 opening time to get a seat at the bar(and yes one of few restaurants in Brisbane which serve full menu at bar #winning)

Hidden away in an alleyway next to Birdies with just a tiny plaque to indicate where it is, Longtime is a true gem. The atmosphere is very good, and the place is very trendy and intimate. We went there in a group of 6, and while we were deliberating over the menu, our waiter suggested that he put together a banquet for us based on what we liked or didn’t like. So we told him what we liked and didn’t like, he told us how roughly how much to expect the bill to be, and we let him loose! And he definitely didn’t disappoint, putting together a personalised banquet of the most delicious Thai-with-a-twist food. Excellent. The service was A+++(seriously, the best service I’ve had anywhere, for a very long time). LONg TIME = GOODTIME.

Great venue — very trendy and intimate despite being quite open. Fantastic staff/service — our waiter even wrote some wine recommendations down for me(ones that weren’t on the menu) that he thought I might like based on the one I ordered that he also suggested. The chef prepared a banquet for us(6pax) based on what we liked/didn’t like and avoiding any allergies member of the group had. Food came out at regular intervals and was announced as to what it was. It was presented well and full of flavour. There was enough food for everyone and for everything we got and fab service, the bill was appropriate. I’d had this place bookmarked for a little while now so I’m glad to finally tick it off the list. I’d definitely go back with a group — probs not for a date night, even though I’m sure it would also lend itself well to that kind of outing too.

Truly fabulous experience at Longtime. Was eating alone tonight and they thoughtfully seated me in a location to observe the kitchen. What a unique and appreciated experience. The flavors were amazing and the kitchen operated so smoothly. From the bentel leaf with sticky rice and mango to the isan taco with eggplant to the special salted pork belly pad see ew, the favors were fresh and well paired. Cannot speak highly enough about the attentive wait staff. Truly an amazing and appreciated experience in Brisbane. Simply world class.

After trying and failing to get a table at Longtime for almost five months, I finally made it on a Sunday night. Even on a Sunday, Longtime was packed with large groups at long tables, and diners seated at the bar. I got some prime seating, watching the chefs compile all the dishes in the kitchen-adjacent bar seats. Longtime is difficult to get into for a reason: the food is fresh, delicious, inspired and definitely not the standard fare you expect at a Thai restaurant off China Town. I chowed down on the banana flower salad — a dish of shredded chicken, light chilli, and shredded vegetables with a flavour similar to somtum. At $ 18 it was filling and certainly enough for one. I paired this with the crunchy pork belly(from the sides menu). At $ 18, this too was plenty filling with crispy pork and crackling, tossed in a savoury dressing with chilli and vegetables. It was literally all I could do not to Hoover it down all to myself! Longtime also serve a variety of really good cocktails. This surprised me — I’d been expecting maybe some dodgy pina coladas or a wine menu with beers. I sipped on an aviation and another gin based drink with a strange name about monkeys with gimlets… But strange names aside, they were fabulous! At $ 18 a pop they’re as pricey as the dishes and aren’t large sizes… But they do the trick very well. Overall — I say go to Longtime. Brave the 45minute plus wait. It’s worth it.

Loved this restaurant — we took advice from our waitress and we were very pleased we did — I think the red duck curry was the best I have ever eaten — it’s a groovy place with lovely staff and a great vibe about it — can’t wait to go back.

Thai food is generally a crowd pleaser. And Thai restraints around Brisbane fit into a specific style– bold maroon, blue and yellow walls, gold statues and a menu where you know what you’re going to get. LONg TIME completely changes Thai food in Brisbane. The décor is stunning and moody. There are two big share tables that run the length of the restaurant which are split into smaller tables as well as smaller tables and booths running the outside perimeter. There’s no Pad Thai or Massaman on the menu, but what is there is delicious– the best Thai I’ve ever had in Brisbane. Such a refreshing difference to the other options out there. My suggestion is to go in with an open mind and trust the waitstaff. And while it may be a little on the pricy side for Thai food– splurge a little– it’s so worth it.

I’ve been here twice now, once as a date with my husband and the next as a birthday dinner with my girlfriends, both times my experience has been amazing. The service has been just lovely, refreshingly so, even though they are extremely busy, the staff handle everything with a smile and nothing is too hard. Why are there not more places like this is Brisbane? The food is fantastic, beautifully executed with a touch of spicy flair. My favourite dish so far has to be the crispy whole fish with crunchy pork belly. I mean, how can you go wrong with that combo? The desserts always look mouthwatering — because they are. I honestly cannot wait to come back again. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this way about a venue in Brisbane. Well done guys.

Could Longtime live up to the expectations of a restaurant with 5 star reviews? Yes it could! We visited on a Friday night, there are no bookings after 7pm so we waited for a table in the Alley outside. I expected the alley to be self service but they waited the tables with drinks. So although we had to wait nearly an hour to get a table inside it was a pleasant wait. It you want a quick meal, in and out, Longtime probably isn’t the best place as its so popular. Once we got Inside the flavours assaulted our nose, the food smelled devine! It has a very Chin Chin like décor and finish. In fact other than it was Thai influenced food the whole restaurant felt similar or modelled off the Chin Chin style. That’s a good thing as in my opinion, Chin Chin is one of the best restaurants in Australia. The service was very good although we did notice it was a little inconsistent in getting the drinks. It was the only issue we had. The food was amazing, we started with the soft shell crab buns, prawn tacos and the cuttlefish. Our favourite was the soft shell crabs won but the rest wonderful as well. Next was the Red Curry Duck and the Crying Tiger Waygu beef. The Red Curry had a real kick so be warned. All the food was fabulous and had a real good mixture of different flavours. A lot of people stuck around after there meal having drinks with others coming in after 10pm looking for a late night meal. All in all it was an awesome night, not perfect but close enough not to quibble and give Longtime less than a five star rating.

Longtime is delicious, I came back the next night after my first visit. The soft shell crab bao is like heaven in your mouth, Red duck curry is also a must try. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Will definitely be a regular customer here.

Fragrant funky and fun, longtime is a hidden door to delicious food and divine cocktails. Let the chef decide on your menu for the evening and take your tastebuds on a voyage of discovery. The menu is an array of delicious interesting dishes. One visit is not enough!

So delicious, both nights I went. There is fun bar seating in the«chef’s area» where you can watch the food being prepared. Great attention to detail, both for food and the cocktails.

Absolutely stand out, authentic Asian cuisine! The best meal I have had in a longtime(sorry, couldn’t help myself). Very friendly wait staff who ensured I was well looked after with a wonderful mocktail in the outdoor bar area while I waited for my dining companions. We shared 4 dishes… all perfect combination of flavours. Only negative is that it is VERY noisy… bit please don’t let that stop you from enjoying these taste sensations :)

The restaurant/bar is actually nice, and a cool place to hang out, not too loud. We went around 6:30pm and were shown to a table in the bar section straight away. The food tasted great, the moreton bay bug curry was the standout. Unfortunately the chef forgot one of our meals, and it took an additional 20 minutes after reminding them for the meal to come out, meaning we waited around 40 minutes after all the other food had been brought out. There is a plethora of great traditional and fusion Asian food in Chinatown and all significantly cheaper. Paying $ 33 for a curry is not something I’m likely to do again at this establishment.
