Sometimes, late at night, all you want to do is eat filthy takeaway. It’s a strange craving, and one that has traditionally been satisfied by the humble kebab. Lately, the kebab has faced many challenges in the Valley, including Mad Mex, Red Rooster, Oporto, and 5 Dogs(as well as the omnipresent McDonalds). For the times when only a kebab will do, Aussie Kebabs is conveniently located at the New Farm end of the mall. The shop is small but clean and pizza is also on offer. My latest meal from Aussie was a falafel kebab and it certainly hit the spot. I avoided the old-looking lettuce but the other ingredients were tasty and the shop attendant was generous with the sauces. A solid late night option for Valley-goers.
