I’m going to throw it out there — Flemington Cycles is awesome. Why? Because that’s where I bought my bike.
They were the only bicycle shop within 10 km of Fitzroy that had the bike I wanted. The other bicycles shops carried mainly sportier Giant bikes and none of their urban bikes. If Flemington Cycles didn’t have my bike, I would have had to go to Ivanhoe. I don’t even know where Ivanhoe is!
Seriously though… I already knew what I wanted, I just went there to pick up my bike and to test ride it to make sure it was everything I dreamed it would be. It was. Still is.
However, the guys at Flemington Cycles are clearly knowledgeable and are friendly. They’re always great when I come in for my servicing — they even offered to stay past their closing time so I could get my bike in for a service. And the best part is that you get 2 years free service versus the 1 year free service that is usually offered at bicycle shops when you buy a brand new bike.
