Our range includes Cannondale (from street to competition), Mongoose bikes, Shogun, Bottecchia, Apollo and Radius family bikes, SE bikes and Schwinn. We also sell Reynolds and Columbus frames and offer custom Hillman aluminium and carbon frames

Henry Hill was a young man with a keen interest in racing bikes and a desire to support his family. With an already impressive background in cycling and racing, he put his passion to work by establishing Hillman Cycles & Radio in 1946.

Henry also recognised the importance of contributing to the cycling community, in particular supporting and encouraging new talent and rewarding those who work hard and achieve great things. Over the years Hillman Cycles has supported or sponsored young athletes, including cyclists who have represented Australia at the Olympics. Hillman Cycles has been supporting cyclists since the 1950’s, including Alan Grindal, Clyde Sefton, Ray Bilney, Gary Neiwand and Steven Foster.

Since that time, Hillman Cycles has continued to be a family owned store, run now by Henry’s son Barry. Over the years Hillman Cycles has continued to expand its range of bikes and accessories and added to the depth and breadth of its knowledge about all things cycl

Tradition of community involvement

Henry Hill’s generosity and encouragement extended to amateur and pro alike. In 1948 he established the Brunswick Cycling Club Novice Junior Clinic. Each summer Henry and other cycling identities would conduct clinics to teach under-​16s the skills needed to race professionally– as well as the chance to experience the thrill of racing around the oval at Allard Park!

While Henry is no longer with us, his contributions to cycling in Victoria have been recognised by the local community by the establishing of the Henry Hill Memorial Motor Pace.
