These great guys over here are mainly a Specialized bikes outfit(mountain/road/high-end s-works). One of the things I like best about this store is that it’s located on a quiet street. That gives you the option of test riding bicycles on the Tarmac without the fear of getting run over by a truck. In addition to bikes, they sell the usual jerseys/locks/lights/helmets/shoes etc. Remember, a good bike is not cheap, and a cheap bike is not good. 1. Buy a bike 2. Get free servicing for a year 3. Profit

This Revolution definitely has no dictators. The staff at The Fitzroy Revolution are all lovely and seriously helpful. They have tightened brakes and given me nuts and bolts to put my bike back together for free! They really are the kind of store where you can go in and ask silly questions and feel like you won’t be laughed at. Besides the excellent service, they sell a small range of top quality and very good looking bikes. They are definitely not the cheapest place around, but then again you don’t necessarily expect to buy the brands that they sell cheap. They also offer a same day bike service as long as you book in advance. Which is a really really handy thing if you ride your bike every day and rely heavily on it for transport.

I’ve had a very similar experience to Gabriel with the guys at Fitzroy Revolution. The other day, the reflector on my bike pedal decided to just fall off. I’d lost a nut and was just around the corner from Fitzroy Revolution. I went it and was given a nut for free and had help to tighten it. The guy that served me was really nice and he didn’t charge me for the service. That is a good way to run a business because I will definitely be back in the future as a paying customer. They have a good range of bike accessories here and a huge range of gels(which came in very handy for a recent marathon). They might not be the cheapest, but they are experts with exceptional service and a great place for qualified and intelligent advice.

I’m a fan of Fitzroy Revolution(probably because it’s so close to me). When I first started bike hunting, it was the first place I looked. However, I realised I couldn’t afford half the bikes there… With a very limited number of upscale brands, they are definitely aiming for quality over quantity. I looked at the various Globe bikes they had — very simple, but classy and sophisticated designs for an urban commuter. Particularly, for someone as short as me, I needed a step-through bike or XS frame. With a single speed, internal 3-gear hub, and 8-speed design, you were looking anywhere from $ 600 to $ 2000. The 8-speed step-through was clearly out of my price range. The bikes they choose to sell at Fitzroy Revolution are what attracted me to the place — solid and quality bikes that will last, but also have a bit a style. Although I didn’t buy my bike there, I did come back for my gears — lights, pumps, extra tubes, etc. The service here is fantastic and they’ll answer your bike queries even though it’s ridiculous like how do I find my PSI? It’s so obviously written on the tire.
