What a spectacular range of donuts I must admit this was my first time here so I went a little nuts & spent about $ 35 on donuts for everyone in my workplace, everyone that tried one said they were among the best tasting donuts they had ever had so I think that justifies the price I paid.
I’m a pretty simple guy so I went for the plain jam & a glazed donut which were both heavenly maybe next time I’ll be more adventurous.
The staff were great at the shop I wasn’t kept waiting more than about 5 mins for my order of donuts & a coffee, I’ll definitely be back & if your a donut lover like myself I would come & check it out there is also a newer store in Brunswick somwhere.

They sell vegan hot jam donuts for $ 1.50 each or 6 for $ 8!
They also have a giant glazed donut in case the normal sized ones are just not big enough!
From apple pie to Cruchie to Tim Tam — I think they have everyone’s taste buds covered.
I would highly recommend the hot jam donuts, they are made to order but definitely worth the wait!

Hot Jam Donuts. $ 8 for a bag of 6. YUMMM! They also have a stack of other stuff like BearClaws which look amazing but every time I’m back here I find it too hard to go past the Jam ones.

I love donuts and Big Lou’s has the best donuts in Melbourne that I have tried. These are as close to the donuts in USA that I have tried (Round Rock, Golden Gate Donuts). The standard glaze is great, with a soft texture that still has a little bite and a beautiful glaze as well. The cinnamon twist and Boston cream are so good. Can’t wait to try the rest. Mmmm donuts.

Mmmm, fresh, warm, airy doughnuts.
Only complaint is that Big Lou’s is not even remotely on the way to work. If I show up late, Big Lou’s is probably the reason why.

Strawberry and jam donuts are AMAZING. Huge, possibly twice the size of a regular donut and delicious.
I also tried the banana custard one and it wasn’t great, stick to the classics!

Love the doughnuts from this place, nothing better than a warm doughnut on a cold July morning! The hot cinnamon and hot jam are easily the best, but the glazed are not bad either.
The doughnuts (particularly the glazed) are almost a cake-​y consistency, but are incredibly light and fluffy. There are a multitude of wacky flavours but I keep going back for the hot cinnamon and jam.
