Ferntree Gully Noodle Sushi Bar

I went in there one day & there was no sushi in the cold window display thingy. I asked the guy if they were all out, he said no, they make it fresh for me. Wow! I watched him make sushi rolls & they were beautiful, so fresh & tasty. Way cheaper than shopping centre chain sushi bars too.

The Ferntree Gully Noodle and Sushi Bar will always remind me of summer nights and nasi goring. Why? Because this is the first place I ever ate nasi goring and it has been my benchmark for comparison ever since. At only $ 8 for a large box of nasi goring, the value is incredible and it tastes better than anywhere else I have eaten it.
You can eat in or get takeaway here and the staff are always quick to give you plenty of napkins and a fork or two — nicely wrapped up if eating takeaway. The shop itself has a spacious eating area although it can be noisy with the sounds of the kitchen as everything is cooked fresh.
I really love watching the staff cook here– they are so quick and it is obvious they know the menu inside out. They are quite happy to leave out ingredients or swap it for something else if you don’t happen to like something in particular. (I really hate mushrooms and they have always catered for my weirdness, which I appreciate!)
Apart from the nais goring that I am so clearly obsessed with, I also love the pricing of their prawn crackers. They are only $ 1.50 and you get a huge bag of them. I cannot emphasize enough how good the value for money is here.
