Good loc(close to public trans). Good food but over priced(lamb cutlet salad $ 28). Reasonable prices drinks. Live entertainment. Nice decore. Neighborhood pub feel(not touristy like the irish pub in southbank). Will ho back but not in a rush to do so.

Food here is great value especially on a selected Special night. I have never had a bad meal here. This provides a great ambience of a traditional Irish pub and one of the best qualities for me is that there is no TAB or pokie machines in site. This provides a charismatic atmosphere. I love to sit in the old wooden booths in the bar area; you get the atmosphere and also you own space and sense of confinement and can often forget where you are. There is a substantial function room upstairs which has a balcony over the street, which I feel is a real plus. Personally i would like to see this facility open to everyone regular rather than just party functions. On Friday and Saturday night there are live bands on which is a major plus point for me as I love my live music and they draw a crowd, which they need to as often it can be relatively quite prior to these starting for weekends and pub of its size. Bar staff are friendly and engaging, providing a good service, another major bonus point that my bf has made me put on here is that they serve(as you would expect from an Irish pub) «good smooth and creamy ales»; Guinness(stout) and Kilkenny.

In terms of distance from my house O’Sullivans is my local. In terms of personal taste of where I like to spend my time, O’Sullivans does not completely cut the mustard. The Parmas are worth a visit on Parma Thursday. You can eat upstairs in the restaurant, perch yourself on a stool in the bar area or snuggle into one of the booths. Most evenings you will see the older regular crowd and on Saturdays if you are happy to pay the cover charge you can rub shoulders with the D&D crowd! For the time being I’ll stick to my Thursday evening Parma visits or the odd sneaky after work drink.

The pubmeals are average and excpect to wait a while for a simple dish. A total«meat market’ on a saturday night. Afraid to say that I have only been once and that was enough. Disappointed

Great looking pub but a little cold on the customer service. Get the feeling that there is not a lit if trust towards employees and customers. But put that aside a classic looking pub.
